Devil in the Dark
Episode six
Dagger of the Mind
Jupiter's Locket, followed by Pity Poor Pandora
Is TOS really as hammy as people say it is? Just went through TNG and on season 7 of DS9, but I was wondering if I should start TOS or just monitor this thread for good episodes.
Spectre of the Gun, also known as the OK Corral episode
The one where Apollo was God, who only wanted to be loved
TOS is easily the most watchable of the Trek series, even when the episode is bad I never found myself bored which you can't say for any other of the Trek series
Fuck off with this fake TOS ep name meme. It is beyond gay.
piece of the action and the trouble with tribbles.
>when STD writers try coming up with faux-poetic episode titles like TOS and they end up sounding as stupid as these fake meme titles.
When they faced the romulans in a highly tense temporary conflict.
Also the corbamite maneuver. I think these types of episodes are quite kino.
piece of the action is top tier
balance of terror is maybe the objective answer
i really like journey to babel myself
the one where they go back in time and some woman dies and they had to not save her or the future would be fucked. very cold ending.
It doesn’t really have the overarching plot of later trek series, more like a twilight zone style new sci fi story each week. But kirk spock and bones are the comfiest trio of all time
That episode was written by the same guy who wrote "I have no mouth and I must scream"
t. underage shitposter mad that the 'fat shit' meme flopped hard.
City On the Edge of Forever I think. Kino episode.
The Doomsday Machine
The one where they have a bunch of ambassadors on the ship (including Spock's parents) and there's some sort of assassination plot happening
>spock what happens if this woman lives?
>hitler wins ww2
Three way tie:
Jupiter's Locket
Let the Children Cry
Emperor Spock!
(OP)
I like The Devil in the Dark
>no omnipotent being
>comfy sets
>not a not-earth
>non-humanoid alien
>a mind meld
>a little spooky
>bones saves the day
a great TOS recipe for me
based
the weird kids they pick up who mind control the starship was based
The psychic kid who looks like will forte
Arena, unironically.
is there a torrent out there with the non-lucas'd versions?
Based M U D D
S01E28 - City on the edge of forever
Its so nihilistic its beautiful:
Based.
BECAUSE: EDITH KEELER MUST DIE
The one where they land on a planet identical to Earth and say "WTF, someone from Earth must have been messing with the locals."
Or the one where the land on a planet identical to Earth and say "Ah yes, identical planets are totally normal."
he scared me back then
>William Shatner recalls standing too close to a stage prop explosion during the filming of the episode, causing tinnitus, which became chronic.[6]
with the creepy chant? extremely based
"Up and Down and Then to Sleep"
best writing, best acting, best directed

Mirror Mirror.
will there ever be another captain as based as Kirk was?
the one with the evil version of kirk from the teleporter
AOOOOOOOOOOOO
yeah. he's a very simple, unrealistic character. a dime a dozen in space scifi shows
The Enemy Within.
SPOCK! WHERE'S YOUR BEARD!
City on the Edge of Forever
Trouble with Tribbles
Name one.
This is a good selection.
If you want to engage someone in the OT these five will do nicely.
I always liked Errand of Mercy because you don't see the ending coming at all.
>because you don't see the ending coming at all.
if you're a brainlet maybe
That's probably it, yes.
'The Enterprise Incident' is fantastic.
the emotionless virgin desperately spending every waking moment trying to figure out the ending
the chad just enjoying the story and allowing himself to be surprised
Big Chad energy post. Kirk would approve.
I watched the first episode for the first time last night, and didn't really find it hammy at all. It takes itself as seriously as it should, and doesn't apologize for being a low budget scifi show or patronize the audience. Some of the dated references to cultural norms supposedly in a futuristic society provide some humor as well. Honestly was pretty impressed and will continue to watch.
Are there any other evil federation episodes?
JUST FUCK MY EARS UP
No single episode of TOS is as bad as the worst of TNG
One of my favorites
To be fair, this was right when the writer's strike hit.
A Private Little War
all of them
The City on the Edge of Forever
I unironically love the final episode of TOS, Turnabout Intruder, where Kirk stereotypically plays a hysterical woman
trouble with tribbles
or this
>City On the Edge of Forever
