Until now, anyone that went to any doctor with COVID-19 symptoms were just looked over, treated for symptoms and sent on their way. Most young people probably never even went. Even the cases bad enough to require hospitalization and stuck on a vent or some shit were never officially diagnosed outside of "eh, he has some kind of respiratory virus". Now, if you go in with as much of a tickle in your throat, everyone freaks out with "OH NO IT'S CORONAVIRUS, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!1" and you get tested for it and added to the total and increase the panic even if it never actually progresses.
