Teal'c is the best Designated Sci Fi Black Man in the genre, imo
Stargate or Battlestar Galactica
BSG is easier to marathon, but you'll obviously be done with it in a few weeks
SG-1 you can just watch a few episodes from and comeback whenever you like
desu I find SG-1 a bit too formulaic, after seeing a few episodes you can usually tell exactly where the episode is going and how it'll end a few minutes in. Still the character interaction and all of that is a good reason to keep watching regardless
there are definitely episodes that feel like they go on too long
plenty of good ones to balance it out compared to bsg turning into total dogshit the last 2 seasons
For me? It's Babylon 5.
Agreed.
BSG. Space battles are so much better. I'd skip preachy Baltar and whiny starbuck scenes in later seasons though.
They are both great. BSG has best space battles and an interesting story that actually keeps you engaged. The setting is great.
Stargate is one of my favorite shows of all time. It's a great show to spend days and weeks on. It really helps to escape the miserable real world.
SG-1
BSG has nigger-tier shaky cam for literally zero reason.
>Hey guys this CGI space battle is cool and all but add random shaking and zooming in
Unwatchable shit.
Stargate SG1 is one of the best tv series of all time let alone just sci fi series. It's surprising how well the CGI holds up too considering the early seasons are 20+ years old now
Battlestar Galactica isn't even worth watching
