i had a friend that was a streamer on twitch and he was pretty small time, but not a nobody (just not forsen level obviously). Even with his few hundred viewers he had enough 'dedicated fans' donating him money every month he could live off it.

That's the sad thing, when you realise some guy is paying you couple hundred dollars every month. And then you realise it's the same 5-10 (whatever the number guys) literally paying your way through life lol. Bigger streamers can avoid this feeling of panhandling off the same 5 people because they have more people giving them money.
