Do not read if you don't want some spoilers for episode 10. Don't complain to me if you didn't want spoilers after clicking on this thread.
>Romulans show up and the synths activate their distress beacon. >It's too late for Soong to finish his golem, so he helps everyone escape to La Sirena. >The Alliance of Synthetic Life shows up halfway through the battle between the synths and Romulans, almost immediately destroying the Zhat Vash fleet with godlike technology. >Captain Worf shows up in the USS Enterprise against Starfleet orders because Riker told him Picard needed help. >La Sirena is beamed into the shuttle bay and they flee to Federation space to get Starfleet's help against the invaders to the Milky Way. >Narek, Soong, Seven and Elnor are beamed aboard the USS Enterprise with the former two taken prisoner for now. >Picard says he'll be rejoining Starfleet and Worf hands over the captain's seat with the Klingon as his first officer. >Ends with alerts that synth attacks on the Milky Way even extends to the Dominion, Kazon Sects and Cardassia.
hahaha yes I too love being contrarian! Damn normie fucks infesting this site, stop preferring the quality titles in the series and go back to plebbit! Great post my fellow 4channel.com poster!
Dominic Hill
>it's great how they turned a sci fi adventure into a corridor shooter side mission that had no relevance to the plot and that left the characters lives so open ended that everybody had to be cameos in the final game shut the fuck up
Ethan Wright
i like this. >Captain Worf shows up in the USS Enterprise against Starfleet orders because Riker told him Picard needed help. and this. >Picard says he'll be rejoining Starfleet and Worf hands over the captain's seat with the Klingon as his first officer.
Nu-Picard is senile and useless though, he can't even operate the touch screens. Why would Worf demote himself? Why is he on the Enterprise anyway? He became Ambassador to the Klingon Empire, if he was going to help he would do so with a Klingon Fleet because he was best buds with the Chancellor who he put into power.
>almost immediately destroying the Zhat Vash fleet with godlike technology. But it spares the rest of them for reasons. > >Picard says he'll be rejoining Starfleet and Worf hands over the captain's seat with the Klingon as his first officer. This is too stupid even for Kurtzman.
The first of the two parter was just a heap of nonsense too, felt hastily edited together just to shit out as much exposition as possible. They wasted so much time on filler episodes and then this? Fucking painful to even care.
Cameron Sullivan
>Picard holding a sappy speech No he’ll scream I MUST MAKE THEM PAY to the camera and shake his brittle fist as his frail husk disappears into the entirely redesigned and ugly Enterprise chair.
Jace Lewis
Adrift but salvageable.
Gavin Clark
>ignoring everything about Worf in DS9
Luke Rogers
> Why is Worf on the Enterprise anyway?
The explanation is in the new Picard novel. It's canon! And there are summaries to google.
Joshua Lee
When the fuck is Discovery starting back up?
Evan Lee
AUTISM TIME!
Release dates for different Star Treks going by how long production takes them nowadays (Discovery season 2 and Picard took the exact same number of days from first day of filming to release... well, give or take 1 day) Rounded to the nearest Thursday. >April 9, 2020 (Discovery - Season 3) >February 18, 2021 (Section 31)
Neither of the cartoons have production dates like the live-action shows, so it's impossible to do the same calculation. So, the shittier calculation is this; average date between nu-Trek show announcement to release. >June 21, 2020 (Lower Decks) >December 19, 2020 (Prodigy)
Keep in mind, Lower Decks is almost certainly late 2020 so it doesn't overlap with Discovery and Prodigy is almost certainly 2021 because we have no information on it beyond a premise. It should had no problem overlapping with Section 31 though if it's ready by then because it's on a different service (an actual TV channel).
Pike and Seven series we have no way of calculating.
Autism over.
Luis Nguyen
Thus:
> The Last Best Hope reveals that Admiral Picard personally recommended Worf for the Captain's chair. Starfleet agreed because the Romulans seeing a Klingon leading the Federation flagship would be "good optics"
So, affirmative action and knowing the right people.

Sebastian Stewart
>enterprise bridge scene >shiny metallic surfaces everywhere >reflective plastic floors >hundreds of random LED lights strewn about with gigantic lens flares covering the screen >asian, black, arab, female crewmembers on the bridge and also a token white guy >camera flies around bridge showing off lens flares and holographic displays >vaguely remixed star trek tng theme plays
Carter Jenkins
This can't be real. So he didn't get the job on merit or for his service record. All the other candidates for Captain didn't have famous friends pulling strings or were the wrong race. Don't modern writers think for a second about how this all looks?
Leo Miller
When will Picard sacrifice himself to save the synths in order for him to finally get over his guilt about Data sacrificing himself?
Jonathan Mitchell
Why do people make up these fake spoilers?
What is in it for them?
Nicholas Williams
>when a 15 yo ytmnd joke becomes reality youtube.com/watch?v=lkIODtJii2o Number one, you have the bridge. Im going to fire myself out the aft torpedo tube into a star
Henry Bailey
If the comics are canon, Data is captain of the enterprise
Juan Turner
>Ends with alerts that synth attacks on the Milky Way even extends to the Dominion, Kazon Sects
I can possibly understand the Dominion if they've still got the subspace transmitter doodad running through the wormhole but HOW IN THE BLUE BLAZING FUCK WOULD THEY HEAR ANYTHING FROM THE DELTA QUAD
Aaron Robinson
Just imagine how they could've handled a lovecraftian machine nightmare from the space between galaxies planning a comeback
An episode about finding out the rumors about them
A couple episodes where the threat is not really taken seriously but they're still investigating just in case
An episode that ends with the revelation that oh god they actually are real and out there
An episode Chekovs gunning that the synths might summon them and maybe making plans to stop them
An episode where we alllllmost manage to stop them but oh fuck it failed we're doomed (portals start opening and this is the cliffhanger)
Instead the God-machines are introduced, everyone including Picard instantly accepts that they are totally real, and in the next episode they are summoned
Masterful building up of your threat level and tension, right there
Ryan Sullivan
How do you know that
I said how do you know that
Matthew Garcia
its called shit writing with zero sense of scale even star gate atlantis managed to grasp the sheer size of a galaxy
Thomas Bailey
>Don't modern writers think for a second about how this all looks?
I like the STO timeline where he marries Grilka ad becomes the ambassador to Klingon Empire
Kevin Gray
It's how leftists see things should work.
Never hire anyone by their merits.
Cameron Roberts
Perhaps they have improved the Pathfinder system that was developed to communicate with Voyager
Landon Lewis
This is coming from the same team that in Discovery were able to pick up alerts of that "Red Angel" around the galaxy at the same time which makes no sense whatsoever because going at light speed doesn't instantaneous, especially when traveling interstellar distances. Alex Kurtzman is a fucking idiot who doesn't understand Star Trek let alone understanding how physics works.
Gavin Jones
I expect Picard to die in the last episode so he can finally pass on his name to an empowered female character. Patrick Stewart almost certainly insisted on that before signing up for the show.
Mason Rivera
>It's called Mass effect
Mess Effort
Jayden Rodriguez
If the Romulans were right all along doesn’t that make Oh and Rizzo the heroes of this story?
Everything they have done so far was to prevent the universe from going extinct.
couldnt they at least rip off a good game like sots 1? its lore is basically a parody of every popular sci fi ever, they wouldn't even need to re-write anything just copy/paste
>Let's steal the entire plot to ME 3 >Everyone liked that one and the explanation for the Reapers >I assume they did because I'm Alex Kurtzman and don't actually read up on or get myself familiar with anything before going to work on it >Good thing I have a loose asshole and know how to swallow gallons of cum or else I would never have a job in Hollywood
Austin Thompson
So is Picard gonna choose the control, destroy or synthesis ending?
ME 1 was actually good. ME 2 is where the ball started to drop.
Oliver Young
>ME 1 was actually good
Landon Torres
synthesis it's straight forward he doesn't have to go up any ramps
Brayden Hughes
This.
No.
Jack Thompson
reminder that everything post-Nemesis isn't canon
Jaxson Gomez
Mess Effort influenced shitty writing and lazy effort. Waste of time for anyone to play those games.
Oliver Foster
>>Ends with alerts that synth attacks on the Milky Way even extends to the Dominion, Kazon Sects and Cardassia. That would be fun and world building so I know it won't happen Also Cardassian is Iraq level power in ST universe and Kazon Sects Somali level
Blake Cooper
As long as Enterprise has sexy Trill trans female officer with 600 years of experience of fucking men in the ass I am in
