Who was the most based trooper?
Clone Trooper Appreciation Thread
Dogma. For executing the handcuffed, subdued Jedi general because he knew that the corrupt Republic system would set him free and he would kill his comrades in arms.
Of course Commander Cody, for not hesitating even for a split second before he blasted Republic traitor Kenobi.
It's pretty funny looking back at the whole thing
>Just gave his general his lightsaber back
>Trying to go back to this regular duties
>His holograph beeper goes of and sees a wrinkly dude in robes
>Who is this guy and why is he saying the time has?
>Execute Order 66
>"Good soldiers follow order" Blast'em.
I hate the chip retcon so much. Really wish all clones just shot without hesitating. Follow orders without question, kill the jedi, and then break down and wonder if you did the right thing afterwards.
I hate all of the designs in ROTS and the cartoon shit because they are just way too donut steel-y. Like how would it be possible logistically to produce like 500 different helmet and armor models with different paint schemes. And on top of that, why would they allow the clones to customize their armor like it's fucking Vietnam? If anything, AOTC should have had more donut steel like character designs since the clones were being fielded for the first time. They should have standardized across the entire army by the time of ROTS in order to more smoothly transition into the standardized stormtrooper aesthetic.
That would be so much worse. The clone army would be useless after order 66
Yeah I hated it too. They were conditioned to obey more than normal people to begin with, and Jedi throughout the series didn't actually gave them much of a reason to like them, except Anakin (and Ashoka) who treated them like actual human beings from the beginning, unlike assholes like Quinlan Voss or Pong Krell.
But the dude just lost and retreated after his man shot Jedi to the back of her head....
None of that was his fault.
Boba Fett.
I liked it, because I have the feeling that the rest of the named troopers would hesitate.
General Kenobi, I’m ARC.
How so? It's not like every single clone was as close to their jedi leaders as clones like Rex. Most of them would believe they had done the right thing.
>TCW babbies
Based.
Of course, but that was the end of his involvement in the Clone wars, or did he appear later?
>donut steel-y
What did user mean by this?
Commander Cody
>muh meme shorts
Poodoo taste.
Served under best jedi and survived it all to bum around with Rex after the war.
Do you not know how to use the internet to search for words that you don't recognize? I'm not going to do it for you.
The clone troopers alone are cooler than anything in all of the Disney SW movies combined.
>Most of them would believe they had done the right thing.
Afterall they actually did. we saw it from the perspective of a watcher who knew the consequences, but for them Order 66 was violent but necessary suppression of religious cult that attempted to overthrow democratically elected leader of Republic and supreme commander, and putting an end to their overreaching influence over the armed forces of the Republic.
After all jedis were just put in as affirmative action generals which definitely didn't make the standing PDF happy, as demonstrated by Republic hero Tarkin.
That's not a high bar
My nigga Fives deserved better
Based
The system really isn't that complex. Less complex than some armies in our own history. Each legion has a different color of paint on their armor not individual clones. The additions to the armor like Cody's visor are unique but only in that they serve a function for whatever role that clone has. Just like a radioman has different equipment than a MG. Some legions have differently designed armor because they perform in specialized environments or things like that which is also true for real armies. If you want an example of how complex military uniform systems can really get I suggest looking up how Germany did uniforms prior to WWI.
Just speak like a normal human being next time and not like you're autistic.
>he’s not Gendypilled
I find your lack of based... disturbing
This guy and Rex are cool but in retrospect it’s kinda cringe how they’re clearly Filoni’s self insert epic OC characters who become le good guy clones and don’t follow orders xD
Where do you think you are m8
It's a meme, ya dip
>Each legion has a different color of paint on their armor not individual clones
I know, but that's still insane. You have what, like hundreds of legions of these clones that all need armor with different color paint and different designs? That on its own is ridiculous from a manufacturing perspective when you are dealing with millions or billions of them. Then you have to make special trooper designs who need their own subsets of special markings and color schemes. (Why do biker and AT-RT units need specially designed helmets?) And then you have weird one-offs like the commanders (who are the worst designed and are literally perfect textbook examples of donut steel). Like why would Gree have a weird silver tinted helmet with special camo airbrush and solid green on his chest that we see on no other soldiers in his unit? Did they make one standard helmet in silver with green paint markings just for him? It makes so much more sense to see natural evolutions like in the OT where you have stormtrooper + pauldron and backpack = sandtrooper. Disney fucked this up too with inventing a new armor design for the shoretroopers for no fucking reason.
>who become le good guy clones and don’t follow orders xD
That's two out of few millions. What else should the show focus on. Implication is that the most of the 'good guys' clones went through with Order 66.
>Why do biker and AT-RT units need specially designed helmets?
Because they are operating vehicles and the helmets probably help in that regard, like how scout troopers have different helmets for working on bikes and sniping.
Pretty awful meme desu
Watch the mission intros and outros of the old Battlefront 2, makes the clones much better than pretty much any media out there. The fact the VA is the original Jango Fett is awesome because he's a good VA.
Look at this special snowflake faggot, trying to be special and shit.
His man didn't shoot a jedi, you blind fucking ape. That was Tup, member of the 501st.
>CW 2003 autists
Your time has ended.
Ignore him, he's a special retard.
2005 BF2 campaign is by far the most kino rendition of the clones ever. The best part is that it was rushed and thrown together in less than a year and made using nothing but edited game footage as "cutscenes" and Morrison's voiceover and yet they still managed to make something far better than EA has ever made.
I still don’t understand how they made such a low-budget campaign into such high-grade kino. Knightfall still gave me chills when I replayed it recently. I guess it’s all in Temura Morrison’s delivery
>what I remember about the rise of the Empire is... how quiet it was
why can't we be friends?
Before 1910 each German regiment had a different colored uniform and each German state had their own differences in uniforms regarding colors and helmets and sashes and all other manner of accessory. Even within regiments there were differences in belt buckles and embroidery and other things. This was between 1871-1914 in our world. When you consider star wars had entire planets dedicated to industry and all kind soft advanced technology and computer systems it really isn't that far-fetched.
You're right user. I love both CW & TCW and I feel sad that Lucas didn't connect these two series. I Always watch them back to back along with reading the Labyrinth of Evil.
>he can’t appreciate both
Lmaoing hard at u desu
I would have preferred if they went the old BF2 route and maybe did some memoirs of an aging, PTSD-ridden clone who went through both wars and regrets a lot of the things he did. They could have even had it be Rex but I see why they went the other way to make it more kid-friendly and such. Still though I want muh clone kino dammit
>he can’t appreciate both
>Lmaoing hard at u desu
But I can?
Laughing at your ignorance.
>Labyrinth of Evil
My nigga. I should reread that.
>Attack on Coruscant movie never
Oh yeah then why would you shitpost at 2003 TCW autists then huh? I see through you mouse shill
Because he was attacking TCW, you blind ape. I like CW but I don't like retards like you and him.
My new headcanon (since I liked the show and was okay with the chip retcon) is that since the recordings were all made after the fact, these were the way the chip altered the clones minds and memories towards the jedi.
People shit on the chips but it really is kinda fucked up, throughout the series we see several clones struggling with the idea that they aren't much more valuable than machines and are used as such with no freedom of choice, but the chips entirely rob them of choice and make that fear reality.
Don’t mind me, just posting the best trooper here...
Don't talk to me or my wife's kids again
>implying the chad clone didn’t fuck the shit out of her and produced two of his own halfbreeds due to the amount of times they had unprotected sex.
TCW and the CW multimedia project are two different timelines. TCW retcons all kinds of shit.
the phase 2 clone commanders were the original ARC troopers, either trained by Alpha (rex before filoni) or promoted through good boy behavior. that's why they have the pauldrons, kamas and double pistols. they were directly inspired by Fordo from the 2003 genndywars. They didn't have phase 2 arcs, as they were replaced by the commanders and on a trooper level, the BARCs.
invdividually, the clones in the movie have their colors to match on a battalion or element basis to show their affiliation, rather than the jail tattoos that they all have in TCW. like fucking barbed wire, teardrops and anchors.
tcw is essentially just one giant retcon for babies. not only that, but TCW condenses the republics arsenal because it was a cheap 3d kids show and they couldn't afford to even MATCH the movie in terms of the variety of the clones
not to mention almost all the clone from the movie or other media are given at most a couple lines or at least a homage so according to new canon, the only clones who survive or who have a large role are filoni's OC's. so the user in this thread complaining about the movie designs has no idea what he's talking about because his head is so far up his ass
What I really hate about TCW is the absolute lack of episode 3 commanders in favor of OC like Commander Wolfe and Rex.
Why was Gree only in like one episode? Commander Cody was thrown to the side in the new Bad Batch arc just cause Filoni doesn't care about him.
clones were no better than droids. they didn't have personalities like the fucking primarchs of space marines based on the environments. they were cloned human slaves trained to not say no to any order given to them for the kaminoans to sell. if you asked them to run through a minefield, they would say "YES SIR" and charge through that shit. fuck filoni, fuck brainchips, fuck tattoo armor paint, fuck ashoka, fuck jews, fuck jannies, fuck kids shows, fuck disney
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
FUCK DROIDS
AND
FUCK
NIGGERS
>You hear that, Sev? Someone thinks I'm excellent.
because filoni is the same kind of person to make the hazbin hotel of star wars. he's the kind of furry weeb who drew star wars fanfics on deviantart with stormtroopers in my chemical romance paint. he's so insufferable as to have over 12 seasons of three different shows having this kind of bullshit, constantly retconning everything that came before. he seems like a control freak who has to have the final say on everything that happens in canon, especially if it means overwriting something that someone else has already expanded on.
can't even let his precious waifu that's been around since the start of TCW go, invents time travel just for her to survive and then shoves her into the new season of the mandalorian. what a fucking faggot
I have a lot of respect for Filoni and I can appreciate the fact that unlike a lot of people on Star Wars nowadays, he had a genuine love for the franchise. But good god I'm sick of how much bias he gives his OCs, especially since they're usually awful. He does great when he's using an existing character, or at least a template like clone commander. I'll always hold a grudge over not getting a canon Durge in favor of muh oc gray alien in a trenchcoat bounty hunter.
it was alright when TCW was just a child-oriented supplement to the existing canon and like everything else that released, it didn't really step on the toes of the other things. in fact, you could just ignore TCW because there were still bigger and better things being released. but then season 3 comes around and basically the story group decides that everything before TCW was non-canon and that was the definitive clone wars lore despite being for 5 year olds and breaking the lore.
>despite being for 5 year olds
You've never actually watched it, have you?
