Why do zoomers love this series so much?

I like the funny sounding aliens and crazy hijinks. It's not hilarious, but it's a nice watch. Best episode so far for me is the thief convention. As far as I know the only woke shit in the entire show is when they become buff to beat up the devil then decide to beat up neo nazis. Really minor bit though so it wasnt forced like a drumpf episode of family guy/south park.

I'll say this. The series had potential. Like really good potential. However because of the neurosis of the creator the show has fallen. It couldn't survive any more seasons from a non-scientific fucking retard crying about nazi's all day.

The dude has serious Trump derangement syndrome and literally believes nazis walk the streets and he tries to reflect this in his writing.

Maybe if he'd done some reading and research into science concepts and not focuses so much on politics he could have made an amazing show.

The first two seasons are good. When I was unemployed and suicidal I found a way to purchase the dvds and I watched them over and over.

Then the general public found it. Then mcdonalds sponsored advertising. Then leddit. Then post-modern Yas Forums re-evaluation. Now it's dead and we poke its corpse.

I only hope that the creator does something completely fucking insane with his mandated 7 seasons. Literally videotape paint drying, or go completely, 100% off the rails. Or film commercials. Like... do something. Something to say no.

Season 1, 2 was good. 3 is shit since I don't even remember what happened and 4 has been alright

First two seasons were fine. Then in 3rd came the diversity hire writers, characters like strong womyn councellor etc., but it was still watchable. Fourth season... I tried. Got through like 2 or 3 episodes of Rick doing some unfunny, forced almost side story while the main focus is on Summer/Beth and MOTHERHOOD! WOMEN'S ISSUES! Also NAZI BAD, EVERYONE FASCIST NOW. I bet there's some bad orange alien further on, but I've dropped this shitshow.

It was an adult swim type show but not shitty when there was t much needed to choose from. The. They started trying to force dramatic continuity into it like every other show right now and it got less fun

It was pretty good at the start but really declined in quality at around halfway through season 2. They flanderized Rick's character from a man who through experience of exploring the universe comes off as unrelatably insane to smart redditor athiest man. You're not supposed to look up to Rick or understand him, but as the series went on that became their focus. Also the plotlines are way less creative, going from decent sci-fi to focusing on randomness for the sake of randomness. The tonal shift was massive around season 2 as well.
