I guess.

Watching Mortal Coil, its interesting but I don't remember it. I loved some of these episodes, fun times.

Anton Yelchin and John Cho and Q's son and Wesley Crusher are relentlessly handsome.

Rewatching old stuff is all we have now. Feminism has taken the rest. ;_;

ha! im watching the ep now as I shitpost. I paused to take that screenshot and comment on the mind meld scene, speculating that the show is referencing the creation of golem and that it's made by people (Chabon, Krutzman,et al) who care very little for Star Trek but do care about being Jewish. Then the very next scene pic related happened.

I see now what years of lurking has prepared me for. Yas Forums was right all along.

This is what we've been training for, lads!

Why is Picard such garbo?

What a shame Marina never did any men's magazines.

She was a stunner.

She got better after the show

>please post Marina's embarrassing bikini shoot photos
Not right now, sweetie. I'm watching Picard.

Why is her face gold?

Attached: Screenshot_20200314-221742.png (550x376, 163.39K)

Since I learned that she had a huge B.O. problem shes kinda ruined for me

Well she had scrubbed up very nicely indeed by TNG.

That only makes me want to like her pits more.

hnnnnnggg

Attached: uu.jpg (357x649, 56.78K)

so they are ripping off the plot to mass effect?

Wait a minute I know where this is going

Rich Evans said so

>she had a huge B.O. problem
She's Greek

Well then it must be true. He's never had sex.

>Why is her face gold?
Umm, she's a Data obviously. So, we've decided that cosplay is kind of gatekeep-y and problematic so the amazing Star Trek: Picard (available now on CBS All Access) is taking a bold step with introducing characters that allow fans to easily participate in cosplay culture in an authentic way. Feeling like you didn't get details right or can't afford an elaborate costume is literally being told to your face that you're ugly and not good enough. Plus, who has time and money to spend on a hobby. Everyone has the right to be included.

Men have so often had it easy with cosplay for years. Want to be Indiana Jones? Grab a whip and fedora. Well, now it's HER turn.

God fucking damn it, user.

She did all those kinda seedy Canon films. So, that soured her on that kinda stuff.

I assume it's normal data makeup plus the "color correcting" piss filter that everyone uses now.

Why are they all dressed so boring and shitty?

Why is her face 40% chin?

Boobs are sexist. You know this.

I'm the user she fondled as a preteen and she smelled heavenly.

>where the 'poop deck' is really just a room where you shit on the floor.

Yeah, for a second in that voiceover sequence I was almost persuaded. TNG would make an episode that addressed in abstract symbols the idea that the human march toward perfection is destruction of what is definitively human. It would be covered over by some cheesy colorful Buddhist planet, and it would look a lot like the way that episode looks.

But then the whole thing segues into this meditation on victimization and minority. The whole question about whether a victimized minority should rightfully hate every member of the victimizing majority. We literally heard the phrase "Not all [humans]". And honestly, I can't see how they're going to resolve this one. Either they conclude that the minority discriminates against the majority rightfully - then they've established a weird pro-violence conclusion that contradicts the entire pacifist ethos of Star Trek, an ethos which they explicitly revive in the episode itself. Or they conclude that it's wrong for the minority to discriminate against the majority, which is a conclusion with plenty of pro-white connotations if you at all care to carry the symbol into the real world, which they're so obviously trying to do.

I thought for a few moments in this season as characters were being gathered into a cohesive ship cast that maybe this was heading toward an interesting season-long symbol-arc that might replicate the symbol arcs we would see in a single episode of TNG. But no, the scattered series of disconnected symbols was nothing more than what it originally appeared to be.

Watching RLM... Why.

They look right out of a TNG episode of the week

>I assume it's normal data makeup plus the "color correcting" piss filter that everyone uses now.
The classic Data makeup is white with some metallic added. They would not use white makeup for her. I'm surpised they used it on the synths that were on Mars, but I guess they really wanted to lay down the connection to Data in a clear way. Going forward, its' just metallic hue to the actors natural skin tone most likely because they don't want to send any messages about a person "needing" to change their skin tone.

Who is this show for?

Not for the viewers, obviously

>Why is her face 40% chin?
Her chin is capable of learning to mind-meld. So, stop being a misogynist.

The 90's were wild

The TOS movies are all canon except maybe V. Unlike the TNG films, the characters act like they should act all the time.

this. wtf?

what the fuck is this shit
why bother calling this star trek

Final Frontier is far more canon than The Motion Sickness.

I mean some of them are good, but they are all retarded.

You take that back you son a bish

I can live with this. It's a deal.

Attached: 1565301569690.jpg (576x924, 137.21K)

It's a passe political statement. Nobody went to Hillary Clinton rallies either but she ran anyway.

>I mean some of them are good, but they are all retarded.
??? TOS movies are by far the best part of the franchise

>Decomposing fox
Isn't that from True Blood intro?

Take your shiny comms badge and stick it up your ass.

Explain nibba. Was that on the show is what?

tha's a good question user

and the video for nine inch nails "hurt" I think

>Q: How can an android mind-meld? Wasn't this something tied to Vulcan physiology?
>A: So Vulcans have always lead us to believe. As a physiological effect, it can be synthesized, or rather the physio-anatomical basis can be synthetically reproduced

Swill for the piggies.
Eat up, buddy.

>As a physiological effect, it can be synthesized, or rather the physio-anatomical basis can be synthetically reproduced
>Muh technobabble
Sod off Kurtzmam

Your universal translator is malfunctioning.

>How can an android mind-meld? Wasn't this something tied to Vulcan physiology?
She's clearly trans-Vulcan. And just like regular trannies, you magically become what you pretend to be.

well, to be fair Data was able to nerve pinch so you can just assume androids were just built with those kinds of capabilities.

>How are you liking it so far?

Attached: notasyouremember.jpg (640x640, 66.31K)

So could Picard when he had Sarek in his head

We're experiencing some interference due to our phase coils being out of alignment

>say canon
>mean headcanon

he does it in 'starship mine' so presumably he retains the ability

>well this other character could do it when he literally had a vulcan's soul inside him possessing him
That was kind of a different thing.

You should have let it stay dead, old man

Attached: 1528417585337.jpg (873x700, 100.43K)

>Scanning. Their coil emissions are normal.

Attached: spock.jpg (1920x806, 145.36K)

That is so dumb as Troi's "plexing." The Vulcan nerve pinch isn't just pressure points, it relies on their tactile telekinesis to overload the nervous system.
