There's something about sketches where women play sluts for laughs that makes me especially horny. Madtv had quite a few of these. As for SNL, Tracy Morgan's Astronaut Jones sketches were always great.

there's a couple funny moments in the sketches, but no sketch which is good from start to finish. And those funny moments are rare.

i don't say it to be contrarian but i've had this discussion before and never seen any evidence of humour from this show. it's just a clique of comedians wanking each other off. Several of them have gone on to do good stuff afterwards though. it's like the show drags them down

No no I agree with you for the most part. The show fucking sucks, the fact it's been on 40 seasons is a travesty. All I'm saying is there can be one good joke in a sketch, but for the most part it is hard to watch. Not that I have for many years.

The problem with the show, especially these last few years, is that they have people who might be good comedians or performers, but are terrible writers. Their sketches either don't have a punchline, or have an amusing premise they never bother to escalate.

It was considered cutting-edge humor in boomer times when your alternative for comedy on TV were the network sitcoms. Cable and then the internet killed it by giving people a broader selection. I don't think there's been a funny or memorable live sketch in 25 years, just prerecorded stuff
