The entire character of Daniel Craig's James Bond is that he isn't a perfect, exemplar James Bond like the others. So in a way, no, he isn't. But they intended him to be like that.

Because that's how he was written and he's more interesting that way, as an ethnic European and member of a declining country and race. He has historic and sentimental ties to the country, a loyalty to something more than a paycheck. If all you want the character to be is a tuxedo and sportscar, a superficial, commercial iconography, then sure, he could be played by any random negro. Also, cultural territorialism doesn't need to be justified.

he is by far the worst bond of all. he is too bulky, stocky. just lol at his portrayal of bond as a buff guy. Bond doesnt go to the gym, doesnt take PEDs, doesnt have a lifting routine. Bond is supposed to be effortlessly suave, tall, handsome, fit, without being a musclebound gymcel like craig.

next, his portrayal of bond as some depressed, aging, cynic figure is extremely cringe and contrary to al that the original bond represents. Bond is supposed to be cool, charming, undefeatable,effortlessly succesful, bold, without any self-doubt. that is exactly what makes bond stand out from other action heroes. His mixture of class, effortless masculinity, social and martial skill are what make him stand out. instead we get a grumpy, grim cunt without any charisma.

I dont know in what movie it was, but in the early scenes bond (by craig) has sex with a prostitute and drinks to forget his misery. This alone is completely unthinkable. He is fucking Bond, supposed to be oozing masculinity and class, not some loser pay-to-play simp . the literal antithesis of bond.

To add to all that, he lacks any and all aesthetics. Bond is supposed to a tall dark and handsome anglo. Craig looks like a lab-factored crew-cut american jock.
