That actually makes perfect sense - if Europe has been conquered by Africa since the 1300s there'd be virtually no "pure" white people left, but anyone who "looked white" would still be seen as slave material by the ruling class. Didn't they actually historically do that though? Europe was invaded plenty of times but I think European slaves typically went to the Middle East.

South Africa and the UK were very different situations thanks to their racial makeup. There were so few blacks in the UK that discriminatory laws in the 20th century weren't really necessary, they weren't the Irish.

This. Unless it's about the moors but also the colonization of the Americas is one of the main reasons that a lot of slaves were needed. So unless Africa is going to become seafaring, green, use gun powder (but that requires trade with China), and discover the Americas then why would they just colonize Europe. Africans did have sail boats (east African coast)
Africans did have trade routes (Sahel, Swahili coast)
Africans skipped the bronze age. Even the primitive Zulus were an iron age civ.

Tamed yes, domestication is another story. The problem with zebras is that they lack the concept of herd mentality and large family group bonds like horses do. Which means you can't tame the leader and then the rest of the herd follows you because zebras don't have herds, they just run together for extra safety.

Like you said they'd have to colonise the Americas too, but the Europeans never conquered Africa for slaves, they set up trading posts and bought them from local chiefs and kings.
Colonisation of Africa (except for South Africa) only happened literally as a dick measuring contest between the European great powers.
