you're saying breaking bad is better because it's more fast paced, but it's the other way around. BCS is better because it's much more character driven, whereas BB is story driven. there's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't allow for nearly as compelling of storytelling.
Mike's breakdown in Five-O was just as good or better than anything Breaking Bad ever did, except maybe Ozymandias but that episode is on a whole nother level in general.

I think he is sort of an asshole but only because he sees Mesa verde people for what they are. Legally he doesn't own the land and must accept any terms offered. They even mention the money is all in good will. The human side of things is about understanding what it means to evict an elderly with an offer to reduce everything he's been used to and "start over' in a smaller place. Kim really feels the human side of things, beyond Jimmy.

He's not in the right legally, but that's the whole reason for this arc. Kim sees that it's unfair to use the law to force someone that old to just move out after years of being there. Being unable to con(Vince) anyone to back down is why she uses Jimmy to help fight back. Acker has no agency here. He's just along for the ride.

The contract is the contract, so he's wrong. In fairness, who would've expected after 30 years for somebody to come buy a patch of land in the middle of the desert and kick you out of your house? There was another nearby option for Mesa Verde that wouldn't have displaced anybody, but they seem to make it clear that (especially now) Kevin gets off on throwing his weight around and now just wants to kick him out as a "fuck you."
