Absolutely based. Tywin scenes are complete fucking gold
>Just pure dialogue.
As opposed to impure dialogue?
Season 1 GoT = The Godfather
Season 8 GoT = The Godfather Part 8: Godfather vs Sharknado

that makes me die inside
>Daenerys decides to target the supply of food gathered from the Reach, when food is already scarce
>cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeer
what the fuck are you cheering for here?
truth
GoT fans are such fucking retards.
Thanks for being a pedantic autist. Semantical observations are the greatest form of humor.
>Imagine still thinking about GOT in the year of our lord 2020
Has any other massive pop culture property had its cultural footprint evaporate as rapidly and brutally as Game Of Thrones?
I mean, this show literally had most of the world watching every week and it was talked about by all celebrities...
Scene in question: youtube.com
And this scene wasn’t even in the books. Lack of source material didn’t have to mean a drop in quality. Should’ve just made their own ending.
...Or simply not rush what should have been two to three full seasons into one.
There's a really interesting and cool story somewhere in how the show finished. Might not be the ending everyone wanted, but it's Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire after all, so that shouldn't be a surprise.
The ultimate sin is just rushing the absolute *SHIT* out of the last quarter of the could-be show and making a complete joke of both the ending and the entire story leading up to it.
Tywin skinning that dear was pretty impressive though
It's such a great way of building his character too. This is the man that held the seven kingdoms together for 20 years as the hand of the Mad King, equally feared and respected throughout.
The fact he's dressing and cleaning his own kill is a great way to show that he's not afraid to get his hands dirty, or do what needs to be done. It would have been so easy to hand that duty off to a squire or someone else, but he decides to do it himself. Great example of showing vs telling - that scene went a long way to establishing that Tywin was everything he was hyped up to be at that point.
I'm actually kind of glad his character died in the earlier seasons, because I would have hated to see how they would have absolutely butchered his character if he made it through to the end.
I'm glad game of thrones was exposed from season 4 onwards, which is when D&D took the realms and didn't have any source material, showing their true worth.
Season 8 has absolutely ended their career. The comments they made after didn't help (saying one of the characters forgot about the iron fleet lol and how the show was made for mothers and NFL players)
These MFs could have actually made a worse and dumber star wars than JJ Hack and kathleen.
>this is a 10/10 in bongland
>season 4
What a pleb
They'd have made him a Trans woman
>because I would have hated to see how they would have absolutely butchered his character if he made it through to the end.
Allusions to Tywin molesting Jaime and Cersei to give them a tragic backstory.
>no empowered woman showing some incel men how much of a queenslay she is
>instead it focuses on 2 masculine and competent white men talking to another
and that is why a scene like this would not be made today
>I'm actually kind of glad his character died in the earlier seasons, because I would have hated to see how they would have absolutely butchered his character if he made it through to the end.
he gets killed by his daughter in a very unimaginative and straight forward way that he would have seen coming miles away during the early seasons like little sister was killed by the stark girls

>Or simply not rush what should have been two to three full seasons into one.
The die was cast there. Once they started making progress on the long night storyline, they couldn't just stop, and they knew most people would just stop watching the second arya punk'd the BBEG
>CERSEI PLEASE
This show was always absolute trash for the drooling masses
>evaporate as rapidly and brutally as Game Of Thrones?
Star wars
Same shit happened with Lost desu
You can have both things.
What shows do you like?
Lost didn't saturate the normie pop culture nearly as much as GOT did iirc.
What is this
Why
Why are Americans like this
Why are normies like this
I hate this
Why
>For no reason
They had a reason. Daenerys was insane like most other Targs.
Normies...normies never change
Remember these guys? do they still gather to watch another series?
genes dont make you go crazy
>Watch Arya Stark sing "Let It Go" in the car
Sounds like a nightmare
To be fair, when Lost was airing social media wasn't such a prominent aspect of normie life.
star wars didn't come close to the global pop culture impact GOT did
Endgame
Why would I watch that
True
Game of thrones?
that book?
why are you guys taking about it?
GOT ran for 8 years. Soi Wars for 50 or something. While the peaks may have not been the same, Star Wars maintained its popularity for a lot longer.
Lost was talked about on the radio more than the news at the time.
I saw they were watching mandalorian, think someone linked it in a thread about it.
As opposed to CGI dialogue
They do in Westeros. It's a plot-point that got mentioned nearly every time the Targaryens were brought up.
Who pretend that they are smart
It noticeably dropped in quality in season 2 and got worse and worse with every episode after that.
Imagine having a book source to work from, that the Author spent decades carefully refining and writing with a grand narrative in mind.
Now imagine that instead of religiously following the plot and characters carefully laid down for you that has more than enough material to work with and you have plenty of time to adapt it because you have an entire television, instead you start drastically simplifying and combining characters, plotlines and settings so that you can create gay meme characters, gratuitous sex scenes, and new plot hooks that lead literally nowhere and the plots that do go somewhere are rushed and ruined.
this.
Weren't OP's scene and the one with Bobby B and Cersei original scenes?
Why did they change the reasoning for Robb breaking his engagement to the Freys?
To make the red wedding "sadder"
I think the one where Catelyn talks to Robb's waifu about Jon is original.
>Not one cgi moment
>In the whole of s1-4
This is supposed to be an ironic joke right?
yes, no w*men
Learn to read, fucko
>dear
it was a STAG you retard. how can you miss such blatant symbolism
>implying you wouldn't field dress a deer before anything else
>implying the scene wasn't ruined by the foley faggot and a director's condescdnsion of his audience
>implying the proper way to skin a deer is to have it lying on a table instead of fucking hanging it like any sensible person does
The scene was garbage
Dude. Even my 80yo grandma watch it .
the opionon is wrong anyway so you should let that slide
Tywin skinning anything was out of character, in the book it's lord Tarly who's doing the skinning and it fits his character and house. Tywin was a lord and acted like one and Lannisters don't do butcher's work.
