Good job zoomer, you´re catching up nicely.
Now it´s Flash Gordon
And while you´re at it, so you´re occupied for a good while, start watching Babylon5.
Quatermass and the pit
this
Kino
Too bad they took it off YouTube
The Fly (1958)
noice
>DANGER WILL ROBINSON!
Lmao.
>WOULD SIXTY GALLONS BE SUFFICIENT?
Name a more based robot.
One thing I loved about this film was the score. Very surreal and otherworldly, fit the locale perfectly. The score in Alien gives me a similar feeling, especially the intro.
Space: 1999
Galaxy Of Terror
Here's something interesting for you - the union that represents screen musicians would not allow the people who made the music be listed that way. Because they didn't use instruments they weren't allowed to be considered musicians.
Because of that it couldn't be nominated for an Oscar despite universal praise.
Damn shame. Forbidden Planet was part of the "rotation" I'd go through with my father. Some of the others were Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, Jack the Giant Killer, Mysterious Island, any Abbott and Costello movie. His favorite of all was probably The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. I miss watching movies with him.
>I miss watching movies with him.
I know those feels
any of the quatermass movies are kino
Incredible Shrinking Man
One of my regular go-to comfy classic sci-fi movies is World Without End (1956).
It has a lot of great tropes from when they were still fairly fresh, including:
>Crew of scientist-astronauts flung into a post-apoc future destroyed by nuclear war
>Savage mutated descendants of hapless irradiated humans
>Surviving remnant of high-tech humanity in a sealed underground society
Also the men of the future have all become beta males while their women are full of lust for the "primitive" 20th century men
Original lost in space
Original Battlestar Galactica
The incredible shrinking man
The man with x ray eyes
Planet of the apes
The blob
The thing from another world
Fiend without a face
That pic related reminded me of The Time Machine (1960). OP needs to watch that if he hasn't seen it.
how did they achieve this without greenscreens
>Original Battlestar Galactica
user, please..
They did it live.
>World Without End
I am intrigued. Haven't seen it.
Can't think of many 50s sci fi to recommend, but as far as 70s, watch the omega man
Imagine I am legend, but the main character is a Chad instead of a pussy
>Original Battlestar Galactica
based
very fucking cool
How far back we talking?
He'd probably still be watching them with you if you hadnt "come out" to him as a homo. You've only got yourself to blame faggot
You literally cut the film.
What you do is you film the animal and cover some of the actual film so it doesn't get exposed. The you do it again with the people. Then overlay the two film strips (or cut and splice them together).
When I said I wanted to blast some pussy this wasn't what I had in mind.
Silent Running
He'd probably still be watching them with me if he hadn't died in 1998.
It's his papa's genes that made him a faggo to begin with.
bump
>Heinlein
The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress movie, when?
Stranger in a Strange Land first.
I have no faith in modern Western filmmakers to be able to do justice to the scope of this story. TMIAHM would be far easier to make a good version of. Ideally ... both.
I-Is Cara Delevingne immortal?
You know, you're 100% right on both points.
But I think Heinlein's stories are better suited for mini-series.
>Heinlein mini-series.
I could get behind this. When you think of the shit they trot out repeatedly on tv and we have masterpieces still waiting to be adapted. I think Coronachan needs to do her shit and cull some of the "elites" and make way for fresh blood who are still hungry for the accolades.
Holywood has some retarded and scummy rules
Imagine a Starship Troopers mini-series, one where you can actually dive into the political and social aspects of the society.
While I love the Verhoeven film, it wasn't a good book adaptation... it wasn't even meant to be, they bought the book rights after they already planned to make the movie.
Or, like you said, TMIAHM. Both could be adapted. But they have to be a mini/limited series. If they drag it out it'll be bad.
>If they drag it out it'll be bad.
Oh god, yes. Or even worse, they plan to "continue the story" after the OC runs out. A pox on all their houses.
Or worse, they'd take an already extremely political story and feel the need to inject different politics instead of letting the story speak for itself.
Have Space Suit Will Travel is tailor made for a 4 part miniseries.
Time to call Bezos, he's wealthy enough and nerdy enough to be talked into it.

Yes. I'm a lefty but I hate all this liberal agenda shit they're forcing into existing stories. I have no problem with them writing stuff where transexuals live happily ever after, because I don't have to watch it. And I don't watch it. Just leave the existing stuff alone and write new stuff if you feel the need to. jfc
Absolutely based taste. The other two Quatermass movies are great too, especially the second one.
Original! Fuck RDmoore!!
The Stone Tape is Lovecraftian kino
