Tfw you realize the zodiac killer was real

>tfw you realize the zodiac killer was real

wtf that shit actually happened? what a fucking madman

Attached: 3389.jpg (400x384, 56.84K)

Much easier to get away with murder back then. Most murders that are solved are committed by people who know each other even now.

Retard.

his costume was based

>shot at couples out enjoying themselves
Good.

And now he's a Texas senator.

>names himself over a wristwatch

What did he mean by this?

Attached: index.jpg (215x234, 9.16K)

I think it was autism

>shoot someone
>write some letters that are just a bunch of random symbols with no meaning
>send them to the police and newspapers
>50 years later everyone is still obsessed and trying to decode them
lol he tricked us

>only killed a few people
Kids today have killed more than this bitch.

Closest thing to a real-life Batman villain. Shame there aren't more.

So, there were two Zodiacs, right?

Yeah, assuming you aren't already in the system if you kill a rando the police are basically fucked even today.
Kinda fucked if you think about it.

>In May 2018, the Vallejo Police Department announced their intention to attempt to collect the Zodiac Killer's DNA from the back of stamps he used during his correspondence. The analysis, by a private laboratory, is expected to utilize an advanced new technique that is able to separate DNA from the glue present on the back of stamps.[80][81] It is hoped the Zodiac Killer may be caught in a similar fashion to the Golden State Killer. In May 2018, a Vallejo police detective said that results were expected in several weeks. However as of December 2019 no results have been reported.

What happened?

>kill literally no one
>become one of the world's most infamous killers

It lead to the best Fincher film

on the other hand the killer on memories of murder
>On 15 November 2019, police announced that they had reached a provisional conclusion that Lee was responsible for all 10 serial murders

>Dude lamo kill these specific people
>Ok
>Innocent
Yas Forums does it again.

My grandma said it was a sensation back then, she lived in SF at the time and everyone was terrified

Fincher's movie is actually fucking scary of how real it is

Kidnapping at most

Reminder that ALA absolutely was Zodiac. The DNA they tested back in 2002? Wasn't Z's. The fingerprint on Stine's car? Probably not Z's. The handwriting? It's fucking easy to use different handwriting.

I like the fact that he wore sunglasses over his paper bag, pretty kino.

Nice looking watches though

who the fuck are you quoting

not really, there are so many street cameras that they can eventually pinpoint who was around a location at a time of death. then they narrow the suspects and start asking questions. granted this is assuming you murder someone white in a non shitty neighborhood

it was to hide his eyes and eye lashes color

Manson you fucktard

My grandma wasn’t afraid because she didn’t go around holding hands with men in public like a slut

Why hasn’t Yas Forums used its weaponized autism to figure out who he was?

it's possible he was always into zodiac memes and bought the watch cause of the name

Yes

does anyone remember a couple years ago, there was a sudden string of threads on Yas Forums about this guy, then all of a sudden they fucking caught him? that was absolutely crazy

Bruce lee was the zodiac?!

Attached: 1581182820653.jpg (733x767, 82.89K)

Did he even kill that many? Didn't he kill, like, 4 people? And some of them might not even be him but some other killer? The madman managed to write himself into history even though he was the incel of serial killers.

Nah there were at least 3

>yfw Zodiac, Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist/Night Stalker, Mr. Cruel, and the Visalia Ransacker may have all been the same person

There’s no payoff for that. We all know that it was Ted Cruz anyways

Maybe in britbong land.
In like Australia if you did it, assuming the neighbours didn't call on you and it was completely random the police are just fucked.

GSK/EAR and visalia ransacker were the same guy
that guy probably wasn't the zodiac, and definitely wasn't mr cruel

He’s memorable because of his gimmick and never being caught. But yeah, he was obviously not a Ted Bundy type.

Unabomber was zodiac

>who the fuck are you quoting

He became famous for his cryptic coded letters he sent to newspapers, he could have killed only 1 guy and newspapers would still have overexposed him to the public because he just gave them a absolute golden story to publish
That and also his costume looks cool as fuck

He got famous for dabbing on the cops

Many serial killers semi-want to get caught in the end so their names are remembered, à la the BTK guy who started writing letters again.
The Zodiac killer might not be one of the them, but the taunting letter to the police say otherwise, that he probably was after recognition. I imagine he at some point wanted to start writing letters again, but the fact that he didn't means he might have died suddenly or relatively quickly from other circumstances.

>the zodiac killer was real
it was unrelated, "unsolvable" cases being tied together into a "serial killer" in hopes of causing a copycat that could be caught and have all the previous cases tied to him. This immediately spiraled out of control due to early sensationalism and came to define interactions between the police and the media.

Was he autistic?

Does it give you a sense of peace? That there is some big government conspiracy tying it all together?
Does the idea of chaos being able to impact a person life so greatly, that no one is truly in control scare you?
Be honest user.

>Many serial killers semi-want to get caught
They want to be known/famous. Not caught.

Doesn't apply to the zodiac, of course, because the zodiac wasn't real.

>big government conspiracy
it was literally no one but daniel toschi and paul avery, outside of each of the otherwise unrelated murders, of course.

>the BTK guy who started writing letters again.
He got caught because he was stupid as a fucking brick and completely technologically incompetent. He sent a floppy disk with incriminating evidence in it to the fucking police because the police told him it was safe.

Idk user. They seem pretty similar to be totally unrelated

Who was Zoë D’Ack ?

>They seem pretty similar
The entire reason the zodiac is such a huge "mystery" is because of how completely different each murder was. How, if not for the letters (published by the media) claiming responsibility for all of these completely different murders, there would have been no way to link them.

Fuck man is this your first zodiac thread ever?

They were all young couples in relatively isolated areas. The single guy who was shot seems out of place

Right. I should have phrased it that they want to be outed as the killer, obviously not face the legal consequences.
That doesn't mean that he didn't want to have his name remembered. He even left a note on his street telling the police that he lived on it somewhere. He wanted his name out there very badly.

>Resorts to taking credit for other murders because no one is giving him enough attention
pathetic

First time I was playing Persona 2 I knew it was kino already

Attached: 840F6522-29A7-4651-B0CD-A225466C4F02.jpg (273x444, 18.29K)

>They were all young couples
Nope, only two. Taxi driver was clearly not a "young couple."

he was a /fa/ /g/

BTK was mostly frustrated by how the media stopped reporting on him.

The thing with paraphilies is if they get too accustomed to the object/expression of their desires, and there's insufficient reaction, they need to escalate or gain a broader audience to get the same thrill.

"the zodiac" claimed responsibility for dozens, if not hundreds of murders over the years, all completely different MOs and victims. The media stopped reporting on this after SFPD was able to get a ruling that reporting on active investigations was obstruction of justice. About the same time, paul avery was fired and was lucky to not be in jail.

He was pretty much Jack The Ripper for the 20th century, which is why the case is so spooky.
