cute! and funny too!

cute

How did you guys take the end? It seemed like she killed herself.

The ambiguous "did she kill herself or not" ending is such a cliché by now, fucking euro filmmakers need to come up with something new

I felt in unfitting for this kind of film. This is no cute and quirky lifestyle movie about freedom, it's about a fucked up system with a fucked up child and no hope.
I much more would have liked a final shot of her from outside the plane through a window, weeping.

no that was unintentional.

If she was to die by the end she would have obviously froze to death in that forest.

Yeah a lot of people were confused by that final sequence but the director made it clear she didnt jump to her death.

I took the ending as there is nothing that can help her and it would end with her death sooner or later.

Speaking of German movies, I was about to start Issi and Ossi, the preview where the woman tries to pick up the boxer really caught my attention. Has anyone else watched it?

I wouldnt say its THAT bleak. Yeah there is lots of fucked up shit happening but there is still Benni and she is lovable and never lost hope among all of it.
You need to remember we only saw a small part of her life, that chapter with Michael is over but there have been others before that ending just the same. Maybe next time it will work out, who knows?

I also want to know this.

As a german i couldn't watch more than 10 minutes of this. It's too fucking real. Her outbreaks don't feel acted, it's literally like i'm watching something i'm not supposed to be seeing. Couldn't take it.

And i'm not even saying that in a "wow this movie is amazing" way, for all i know it's shit, but it was just too much for me and that doesn't really happen to me usually. Maybe i wouldn't have any problem whatsoever watching it if it weren't german.

Do you have children yourself? I noticed that parents tend to be more sensitive about this sort of thing.

no but i actually used to be a kid with anger outbursts myself until i was maybe 10 or so. granted i never physically attacked people but i did have outbursts of rage. maybe it just hits too close to home for me because of that. but afaik by the time i went into 6th grade my behaviour had changed.

its not like the entire movie is just that.

It really depends on your character.
I watched it with a class of soon to be child care workers and some of em stayed teared up through the whole thing, I on the other hand was mildly touched but nothing too serious.

If you didnt get watery eyes during that scene you are a pretty cold person.

Gerfag here. Worked as a semi voluntary in a care facility for children and youths for over a year. I was in special groups, so for children with disabilities or certain backgrounds. Was one often assignt to zhose with anger issues/ challebging behaviour/ freakouts. She remindet me of some children and youths Ive met there. This movie portrays things very accurately, which is why I found it good.

Also I hope the pedoscum itt is killing themselves.

would you have saved her Yas Forums?

Most people here can't even save themselves

brehs

nah
you can't save kids like this

I know right

i think she would have done okay somewhere a little isolated with not much contact to other kids.

>movie about a little girl
>there's a bathtub scene

Every single time.
