you're an e-celeb loving faggot that can't find anything on his own and has to hop on to whatever is flavour of the month because of said e-celebs
fuck off demo
You turned it off after 20 minutes because you didn't understand it.
I don't follow any e celebs... I saw it in a list of kino animes to watch
Typical Japanese Pathos that westerners Love because it’s obscure to them, pretty decent film tho
>anime
>kino
pick one
Planning to marathon this tomorrow. What should i expect?
You didn't get it.
cringe
pretentious
it's good.
Overrated for what it is, but I liked it.
I wish we got to see those cool looking tanks fight
Checkmate.
It’s the Dark Souls of anime OVA
Literally Kino.
You like it, a master piece.
You were reminded about how much of a faggot you are
>insults people who like the film
>say you like the film
wew
You thought that the plot is almost non-existent, but that the imagery was so thought-provoking and memorable that you can say you liked the movie.
How on Earth is it overrated
good but overrated
I just saw Angel's Egg for the first time yesterday, what a so-called 'coincidence'.
OH AN EGG COMES OUT OF A CHICKEN
OH A CHICKEN COMES OUT OF AN EGG
A gentle almost breeze-like reminder the creator Oshii (also did ghost in shell) said he had no idea what the animation was about when making it and created it during a time of spiritual and religious confusion.
It's my favorite thing to come out of Japan but I wouldn't rec it to anyone. It's the sort of thing most people fall asleep to.
It gripped you. What was in the egg? Where did it come from? So simple, yet so many mysteries.
What were the fishermen after? Why was the city in ruins? Who was the young boy? What was that ending?
It's... a masterpiece. A tour de force in animation, elevating anime from a weeb distraction to a serious for of high-art.
Took the words right out of my ass user. Nicely done.
A friend of mine says this anime is directly responsible for inspiring the Dark Souls video games
You don't have friends, liar.
I do, his name is Vaati
That's not a real name.
wrong Kino
A friend of mine told me NieR was an inspiration for the Dark Souls video games.
His name is Hidetaka Miyazaki.

nice words but the experience of actually watching it isn't that great. stories have to work on both a surface level and a metaphorical level to be truly great. Angel's Egg does the metaphorical part magnificently, but it is sadly lacking in functional meaning, being really just a montage of spooky and resonant images.
you have to fanwank VERY Hard to get anything out of it
View it like visual poetry: It's meant to convey emotions without relying on a narrative
So demo is back
So aids is back
Recommend me some Anime Kino please.
Already seen and my ranking
1.Gits
2.Jin-Roh
3.Akira
4.Paprika
5.Perfect Blue
I wouldn't expect a zoomer brought up on a diet of Transformers films to appreciate the subtleness of Angel's Egg.
It's like a fine wine, you need to have developed a sense acute enough to appreciate it. You must allow the film to sit on your visual-palate before you consume it, soak it up, let it rest. The imagery is striking. The lines harsh, but softly fading into the background. The sound design sculpted in a way to immerse you in the world.
Give it another watch, use headphones and a dark room. Give yourself to the film and allow nothing to distract you.
What is your IQ? I'll rec based on that.
79.
Vampire Hunter D
For some reason my teacher called me Dalton and not Demolition D Plus like my parents.
Wasn’t the city in a barnacle on the underside of Noah’s Ark? I guess the people were souls of the drowned sinners, unconsciously clinging to the Ark in death. Maybe they’re in such denial of death and their situation they can’t see the fish swimming around them directly but they see the shadows. The spaceship is God and the egg would be Jesus. So they city represents people doomed by God who are too ignorant to save themselves, but Jesus will redeem them anyway when he hatches.
That is a little too high for anime consumption but try Mononoke, Neo-tokyo, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, and Curse of the Undead Yoma.
memories (1995) is a good anthology, except for the stink bomb one
animatrix has some good parts if you enjoy the matrix universe
also try satoshi kons other movies, perfect blue is my favorite but the rest are good
ghibi movies if you enjoy well made kids movies
based mr bungle poaster
I'm the actual poster, it's 117

Too high for anime consumption. Read manga instead.
The Halo anime is pretty epic.
youtube.com
that was terrible
he was feeling disillusioned with his christian faith which makes sense considering all the biblical symbolism
isn't the man supposed to represent jesus? he even carries a cross
Based, didn't expect to get misty-eyed watching this
And good recommendation for some avant garde manga?
I'm not convinced avant garde actually means anything.
Try Helter Skelter, Fourteen, Apollo's Song, and Arigato. They are all in my top 50.
What e celeb recommended this one?
Seconding these recommendations.
D is so overrated it is insane. You may as well rec OPM.
boring
Nah i'm right. If you're reccing stuff my mother has seen you're a pleb and the conversation is moot.
