indeed

Not much to discuss, really. You are correct.

The movie is kino. The series is garbage.

Imagine unironically preferring the Stargate movie over the series.

I can, because it's true. The show was shit; the movie was kino.

Both are pretty simplistic if you look at it.
I like Star Trek more because, while both have "exploratory adventure" as a main flare or theme, Star Trek is more "politically intruiging" in it's vision. Indeed, Star Gate seems limited in that regard in that it just plays in the human present.
Star Trek is a bit broader grown and thus full of inconsistencies in many regard, tho

False.

DS9>TNG>VOY>Stargate

How about no.

Farscape
Deep Space Nine
Stargate Atlantis
Star Trek
Stargate SG-1
Lexx
Enterprise
The Next Generation
Earth: Final Conflict
Battlestar Galactica Classic
Andromeda
Voyager
Battlestar Galactica
Babylon 5 (Londo, G'Kar, and Garibaldi were great tho)
Space: Above & Beyond
Stargate Universe (Carlyle and Phillips were great tho)

Anything more recent than SGU I'm not sure about, haven't watched too much recent stuff. I liked Ascension and what I watched of Dark Matter.

I never could get into Star Trek. Their utopia always rubs me the wrong way. "Look how evolved we are, it can be real when everyone agrees with our political beliefs".

Stargate is actually optimistic, it's about perseverance and ingenuity of the modern man , not "We can make utopia when we are nothing like today" kind of deal.

>tfw you're the chad of all system lords

Has this dude done anything besides Stargate at all?

>drips

God of War was kind of a big deal.

Lots of voice work and some Z-movies it seems.

>Stargate Universe (Carlyle and Phillips were great tho)
Carlyle and Ferreira carried the show. I wish it had one more season.

Universe has a lot of good ideas, but front-loaded with bad ones. A real tragedy.

>Universe has a lot of good ideas
Not having the Pentagon behind the producers' back anymore really helped them paint Earth/Homeworld Command in a morally grey way, more believable. I wish SG-1 had episodes like SGU's Seizure.

>Baal episode

UHH HELLO? BASED DEPARTMENT

>We want the Battlestar Galactica Audience

Nah fuck Universe, only good thing was that one bitch with the big tits.

Just wait for the inevitable remake.

Daniel Swoleson

It's the other way around.

As someone that is watching SG1 for the first time, you are correct sir.
Its amazing.

When will they finally fix the galactica?

Where my Battlestar boys at?

BSG was shit.

rewatching BSG right now. Farscape is my favourite scifi, though I really wish there was something more serious and not full of weak goy morality star trek being the worse offender.

nothing is better than season 4 and 5 of Voyager

Indeed.

Daniel Jackson was relentlessly handsome.

His early 90s hair was kino.
That's the haircut I used to roll with before I started balding.

Guys, where were you when 2009 Yas Forums was full of forced SGU memes such as the fixing galactica?

Seriously, fucking newfags

Enjoy your STD, trekfag.
>mfw trek was always shit besides the first movie

He was in an episode of MacGyver

I've been watching SG-1 for the first time now, and while I really enjoy it the CGI heavy episodes didn't age as well. Finished the first episode with the replicators the other week and found them pretty uninteresting.
Someone please tell me they don't become a common recurring villain

They do, but their episodes get better

Shut the fuck up about Star Trek. This is a Stargate thread.

The movie was forgettable the series is 10 years of joy.

Current trek is post utopia.

I've never seen the Stargate show. The movie was pretty good though.
But even though everyone says TNG is a utopia it's not really. You have the Ferengi, the Romulans, and even a bunch of non-Federation races that are at constant odds with them like the Chrysalians etc.

the first movie and SG1 (for the most part) are very good

Ancient aliens trope is kino when done right

I loved Baal

your mum

He worked for the Masketta man
they cut his part down because he was too much of a big guy for Bane

>Why yes, I am a scientist, how could you tell?

Dont make me rewatch all of it for the 4th time.

lol no

Personally I liked Sara/Osiris.

>The show was shit
KEK'ma'te

be Magneto

I never watched SG because any time I saw a commercial for it on TV it always showed this giant effeminate nig with makeup and eyeliner and I was just cringed the fuck out.

>as a matter of fact it does say Colonel on my uniform

Why are there no good Stargate video games?

Go back to Yas Forums.

SHOL'VA
I'd love a good FPS
