So what story should they tell?

Hard mode..no rehash. Make it completely original

They will end up retconning too much with this show to have any hope of making an old man living in hiding and being a hermit seem interesting.

GET

THAT

FLYING STORMTROOPER

there's literally nothing you can do with this character and I have ZERO idea why people think they want to see more of him

who fucking cares? why is 90% of this board obsessed with live action childrens cartoons?

They keep on raping this franchise and people keep showing up to witness the rape

I'm obsessed with Riley's revenge. It just spills over.

I agree, it would personally be a better idea if they did a show on Mace Windu where he actually survived the fall from Coruscant and went around messing dudes up with a silver robotic arm, a modified purple lightsaber, and a badass black trench coat like Blade. Then the show ends with him and Darth Vader in a badass lightsaber fight.

movie starts out with a not so old ben walking into a cantina and getting a drink. starts to reminise about the old days of the republic. we see how kenobi became a jedi from a young age and some of his adventures possibly with qui gon and mabye anakin. last scene is him leaving the cantina and his final battle with darth maul

>and a badass black trench coat like blade. then the show ends with him and darth vader in a badass lightsaber fight

cringe

The entire film is him trying to hide his powerlevel from jedi-hunters, troubles ensue.

yikes

Not too bad user, since the actors for the prequels are still around. They should retcon that weak obi vs maul fight from Rebels too.

racemixing
feminism
hamfisted political subtext
fat, ugly protagonists
mary sues

>oh wait they did all of that already

How is this scottish cocksucker getting so much work? He’s a forgettable actor. But I guess that fits with the shows and movies he does

Based

Obiwan battles the various gangster on Tattooine, if they should ever seemingly want to expand their territory into wherever Lars' farm was. That'll be premise one. In doing so he has to come to an agreement with the Hutts who will offer him this small section of the planet that they won't encroach on and also won't flex their muscles too much, but also will implicitly protect, if Obiwan will do some wet works for them.

Obiwan the Mafia enforcer who hates his job!

cope

>character is never in any danger because we know how his life ends in the future, therefore no tension or drama at all.

yeah, I think his story is over.

Same applies to palpatine, anakin, and obi-wan in the prequel trilogy.

Install characters Obiwan likes who we've never seen before.

>An old Jedi comes to Tattooine
>He and Kenobi get along at first
>He becomes suspicious that Kenobi is hiding something from him
>Kenobi is suspicious that the Jedi is a sith spy and leads him out into the desert
>After months of isolation they quarrel and the Jedi tries to read Kenobi's mind
>Kenobi kills the man
He was a good friend

no because there will be big action scenes throughout the movie as we see kid obi, teen obi, young adult obi to adult obi doing bad ass shit and then we finally see the final encounter with old obi and maul the way it shows in rebels. it was a sad and sureal moment between two old nemesis

make him have a gay black lover (played by idris elba) and have him spend at least 2-3 hours of the film just digging bloody sand out of his overly fucked pooper. it will be less demoralizing than what they did to luke skywalker.

I accept nothing but:

K I N O B I
I
N
O
B
I

He is quite literally the ONLY main character from the OT that hasn't been completely ruined by the ST yet.
So yeah, why people want to give Disney an excuse to pull the trigger is fucking beyond me

Nah that sounds like shit. He is right they should redo that worthless "fight"

since revenge of the sith came out in 2005 shouldnt Ewan McGregor be around the same age as Alec Guinness in A New Hope?

Alec Guinness was like 63. Ewan's got a couple decades to go

Samurai/Western kino where he enters a small town and helps them out, while obtaining greater value in the force and Jedis.

exactly my point

no we dont need an over the top climactic showdown between 2 old broke and beaten warriors. leave it the way it was on rebels with the final shot being obi kneeling and holding mauls hand looking up at the night sky knowing the dark times are coming also he was a good friend

Ashoka Tano just after renouncing the Jedi order and essentially becoming a ronin.
Cruising around the galaxy, meeting people, getting into adventures, you know, like Caine in Kungfu.
Flipping around in that miniskirt wearing no panties slicing up battledroids.
Maul was no ones friend.

Was a such a well done scene. It was perfect, this is in series that had drawn out over the top fight scenes between wildly mismatched opponents like Ezra and Vader.
No bullshit long lightsaber duel, Obiwan slices him up in two swings, Mauls "is he the chosen one?"and "he will avenge us" as he dies in Kenobis arms in the middle of the desert.
Topnotch tv. You have to keep that just as it is.

You could do it sort of western style. But honesty Obi Wan series would be limited as fuck.

They would need to develop Tatooine a lot for this to work and current gen of writers would fuck it up.

How his love for young boys led to him getting caught up in an intergalactic war

>Maul was no ones friend.
Well you got me there

Seethe

Getting an over 18, but very petite and flatchested black girl who is covered in orange bodypaint with two latex lekku hanging off her head. Can you even imagine it?

I'd like to see an origin story for Mace.

Obi-wan wandering the desert on a spiritual journey to complete his jedi training and trying to cope with the fall of the Jedi order and having to (in his mind) kill his best friend with the voice of Qui-Gon serving as a voice of encouragement when Obi-wan reaches his lowest point. The point of the series is showing a broken man becoming the wise jedi Knight we saw in a new hope

That episode would have been pure Kino had it just focused on Maul wondering the desert before finding Kennobi

I don't get ppl who don't like it. Guess it flew over ppl's heads who just want big fights. It was a great example of actually subverting expectations, fuck you rian.
I'm not really interested in an old ObiWan story cause it will just be action bullshit. If they had balls they would make it a straight up drama like this guy said

watch em do it. its perfect. checks all the boxes.

Jesus christ

They had both been fighting their duel in their heads since they met in The Phantom Menace, they just needed to finish it.

Ben should go to Alderaan, maybe set the entire film in that area

Attached: CR70_alderaan.png (1919x816, 1.42M)

Oh for sure. Where he breaks down the metaphorical door for aliens and other "races" being kept out of Jedi school by old, white men.

They could have Kenobi setting up a Jedi Academy in the area, something like the story that wasn't told in the sequel trilogy. Yoda could probably appear... I can't think of the chronology now

... he said while posting on Yas Forums.

Maybe Cody tracks him down or something.

This is star wars you fags

That would be fucking kino

Attached: 765478686.png (1920x1080, 945.28K)

theres nothing to ruin. he the most caricature of the prequel characters (besides satan palpatine) with no visible flaws or even character traits besides le funny high ground man.

lets be honest here, 90% of the show will be ben flirting with aliens

Who the fuck cares about canon?
They could retcon the entire fucking series and run this show on the sole idea of "legendary jedi hero in hiding after order 66"

As long as the stories they tell are good (they probably won't be) it shouldnt matter if they adhere to strict canon. It's fucking fiction. I will never understand the kind of autism that makes people rage over minor inconsistencies within fictional universes.

Or raping them

>I will never understand why people care about what makes old stories completely nonsensical in retrospect
I will never understand how you amd millions of other tards can't understand this shit

He's the counter to Anakin, from a narrative perspective. Obi-Wan is the ideal Jedi, without him Anakins failings would be less apparent. Naturally this makes prequel Obi-Wan kind of one dimensional because the ideal Jedi is basically a goody two shoes white knight.

However, Obi went through a whole lot of shit in EP3, the ruin of his order and the downfall of his padawan. These things would have a profound impact on any man. We've never seen that impact, only the man he became many years later.
A good writer could make some real kino out of that.

Alas, disney doesn't hire good writers. They hire quip-machines.

get over it riley, it happened years ago, you need to move on
