maybe he was just super sane

>We train young men to drop fire on people. But their commanders won't allow them to write "fuck" on their airplanes because it's obscene!

Society

he was a fat fuck

Holy based

He lived in a society.

All of the above.

What sane man would volunteer for that shit?

he explains it in full:
>i've seen horrors. horrors that you've seen. but you have no right to call me a murderer. you have you have a right to kill me. you have a right to do that. but you have no right to judge me. it's possible for words... to describe. what is necessary. to those who do not know what horror means. horror. horror has a face. and you must make a friend of horror. horror and moral terror are your friends. if they are not, they are enemies to be feared. they are truly enemies. i remember when i was with special forces. seems a thousand centuries ago. we went into a camp to inocculate the children. we left the camp, after we inoculated the children for polio. and this old man came running after us. he was crying he couldn't say. we went back there. and they had come and they had hacked off every inoculated arm. there hey were in a pile. a pile of little arms. and i remember: i cried, i wept like some grandmother. i wanted to tear my teeth out. i didn't know what i wanted to do.and i want to remember it, i never want to forget it. i never want to forget it. and then it hit me, like i was shot. like i was shot with a diamond. a diamond bullet right through my forehead. and i thought 'my god, the genius of that.' the genius. the will, to do that. perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure. then i realized they were stronger than we. because they could stand it. these were men, not monsters. they were men: trained cadres. these men who fought with their hearts. men who had families, who had children. who were filled with love. but they had the strength. the strength... to do that. if i had ten divisions of men like that our troubles here would be over very quickly. you have to have men who are moral. but who can use their primordal instincts to kill... with our feeling, without passion. without... judgment. without judgment. because it's judgment that defeats us.

Literally everyone operates on this philosophy though, whether they admit it or not.

meaningless badges

I met him in Kuwait in 2006 (before heading into Iraq), while he was part of a USO tour. Talking with the man, I had know idea what he had actually done. Once I read John Plaster's books, I was in awe.

Meaningless to you, key-board commando.

Attached: Not my photo.jpg (737x552, 63.03K)

he's very sane. he says there are two choices in war: either go all the fucking way and ruthless murder every last one of them especially in a populace where the soldiers and civilians hide among each other, but understand that that is only if you want absolute victory. The other choice is to not go into vietnam at all, so that no needless war can be fought that would assuredly end in stalemate at best. The US chose the worst option; something in between, where atrocities are commited while the military treats it like a fucking vacation with no true direction or focus or ability to invade the north, all for nothing to show for it.
tldr; dont half ass a fucking war, either in or out

You're a bit of a fuckwit, ay cunt?

They are meaningless badges. If you get a badge for scientific achievement, you get a badge for scientific achievement. If you get a military badge for "bravery" or whatever, you're just a good goy.

No. Most people are deluded into thinking that what they did wasn't bad to begin with, not that they did something bad but that it was justified and that they can't be judge for doing it.

How did the Vietnam War benefit Israel?

You're a good goy for the MIC.

fat lot of good all that achieved

That's not an answer, you are deflecting from giving an meaningful answer.

remove ricebowl

Who was Secretary of State under Nixon?

>without judgment. because it's judgment that defeats us.
How does judgment come into the equation? The will, yes, the will to do what is necessary, and the morality of men needs to remain always even under harsh circumstances, but how does judgment fit in?

Attached: image_14291.jpg (1200x1935, 329.76K)

not him but youtube.com/watch?v=5hfEBupAeo4
this doesn't directly mention vietnam but the point is the MIC is part of this system which can benefit from any given war, and every war is about money

Was watching the Ken Burns documentary on Vietnam the other day and the saddest part of it all is that the government seemed to know for years that they had no winning strategy for the war and that they weren't on a path to victory, but they continued to commit troops regardless. 58,000 Americans died for, as far as we can tell, nothing.

the judgment of armchair generals and shitlibs back home

>We train our young anons to shitpost. but the jannies won't allow them to type SNEED on their posts because it's obscene!

the judgement is basically treated as our ability to either look past harsh actions or hesitate as we see what horrors we are actually committing

based

Literally Hitler

The insane futility of trying to prosecute a 'gentleman's war' against what are essentially animals.

the mask of civilisation fell and he saw man in that jungle like he was long before why entered his mind

based

That would be more meaningful of an argument if you asked under President Johnson or Kennedy. President Nixon was in office for 2-3 of the Vietnam War where our involvement went back to 1962. Did IWI or Rafael get sizable contracts during the Vietnam War? Outside of a few Uzis for MACV-SOG, Israel didn't benefit from the war at all.
MIC is not equatable to Jews or Israel, there are plenty of more sizable players in MIC than Jews. It is just easy for so many of you to dump it all on Jews, "path of least effort".

anyone who knows the JQ should know that they are not the sole cause by a long shot, the cause is greed and there are many who are part of it who will never be named

Huh, makes sense.

dude this is Yas Forums, your post is waaaayy to reasonable.

/thread

Also Kissinger negotiated the end of the war, if he (or by extension all Jews, which is a retarded argument) wanted to profiteer from the war, why would he end it?

JQ?

Being sane in an insane world makes you look insane to normies.

every single soldier has to adopt this to not die. that speech just captures the mindset of good soldiers

megabrain.

This he saw the hypocrisy of his own government and knew that in order to fulfill his role or part to play in our society he needed to allow himself to become a target that they could vilify. He becomes the evil that the world needs to project onto himself, he becomes mad because he realizes this. He's Big Boss.

JQ = Jewish Question
Being born a Jew doesn't initiate you into a hive mind, every person can make a choice whether they want to profit and participate in the consolidation of resources through evil means. any person non-jew or jew can make this decision if they are born into a family with connections to do this

coz war is hell faggot

He saw a tentacle

Thanks for your answer, but again. How does negotiating the end of war make it profitable?

I could never take him seriously with his faggy lisp. Didn't find him intimidating or compelling, wasn't convincing as a soldier. Brando is overrated.

God this whole soldier prestige shit is so fucking faggy goddamn I hate soldiers so much

lisp? you've got dead ears, mate.

NOOOO NOT THE DUALITY OF MAN NOOONONOO I INTEGRATED MY SHADOW AND NOW I'M GOOOIINNN CRAAAZZZYYYYYY

He said it himself.

The horror.

Because you are a pussy? Who only fights battles online with no threat to yourself?

Mostly this, but he also realized that the two sides weren't fighting for equivalent causes, and this disparity resulted in a fatal blow to everything he had trained for in the Army. Think about his upbringing and training: West Point, MA from Harvard with his thesis on Philippine guerrilla warfare during U.S. occupation, airborne school; the man was built to fight. But none of that could prepare him for what he saw in the field, which was absolute and total commitment to the cause by the other side. The country Kurtz was fighting for, in contrast, didn't really know what it was doing there, sent people to fight there who didn't want to be there, and supported a corrupt regime and incompetent regime that hamstrung any successes it achieved more than anything. Kurtz realized this and it produced such a break in his conditioning that he went all the way around, rallying a Montagnard force that was essentially the equivalent of the Viet Cong/NVA. The "break" that Willard talks about is Kurtz from his Army life, but also from his former self: he shattered his psyche and reformed only the pieces of it that he thought were necessary to now defeat the enemy

War is war, and the wars between national cousins and coreiligionists could afford more Westphalian niceties -- none of that applied in Vietnam, and maintaining the song & dance of international law observance (not Schlieffen Plan-ing through Cambodia & Laos, just as the NVA was; or simply pulling a Sherman's March through the North), and all the pearl clutching that required -- all to the end of a nice, profitable slow-burn conflict, with a social engineering tail blowback function at home -- this was Kurtz' revelation.

>Israel didn't benefit from the war at all.
They also didn't benefit from Kennedy not gifting them their demanded free nuclear weapon gibs, or his insistence AIPAC register as a foreign agent. Johnson came from a turbo-shabbos sect of Christian zionists in the popular neocohen mold of today, and with Nixon-Kissinger, inaugurated a period of wholesale daylight robbery (various Binational-XYZ foundations with China), with Bretton-Woods crowning the convergence movement that begain with the Federal Reserve Act & the US' inveigling into WWI.

absolutely correct and based post

i'm sure there was at least one guy like him operating in colonial africa at some point

Because every actor on that set lost their fucking minds making this movie

in general, you can fuck over other countries who lose so that you can maintain financial control(petro dollar with every arab country us fights for "freedom")
as for kissinger, im not too aware as to what exactly he negotiated so im not gonna act like a dumbass expert

Its really hot in the jungle and packs are heavy.

>wars between national cousins and coreiligionists could afford more Westphalian niceties
>Sherman's March
i generally agree with your post, but can you reconcile these two bits?

yeah i think willard had a line mentioning how charlie lived on nothing but rice and sat in the jungle for months living in conditions unimaginable to the average american soldier because they didn't give a fuck about politics, they saw it as fighting for their way of life and people, and they were willing to go all the way

it was an amalgamation of the types of things that could happen to a civilized westerner when the the facade of a 'mission civilisatrice' started to fall apart. basically the dissolution of western moral norms + a slide in to Hobbesian philosophy, with a side of 'going native'

>then they choppered in steaks and brews and made a cookout of the LZ. the more they made it like home the further away home seemed to be. charlie didn't get much R&R. to him, R&R was a handful of cold rice and a little rat meat. for him, the only way home was victory or death.

But when you are forced to serve by your own country. Are you going to just role over and die? Wouldn’t you want to be successful and the best you can be??????

Go die in a foxhole for nothing

The Soviets got nukes in 1949, if Jews serving Israel were so embedded in our nuclear program, they should have gotten it at roughly the same time. But they didn't. It was only decades later.

>as for kissinger, im not too aware as to what exactly he negotiated so im not gonna act like a dumbass expert

I'm no expert myself, but I am stupefied by all the arguments that lazily say it is Jews or Israel behind it all. As said before, that argument is "the path of least effort". Being here on Yas Forums for over a dozen years has taught me to ridicule the "blame everything on the Jews" perspective. It is not accurate, and it does get tiresome.

I hope debating the subject on it's merits is sufficient to demonstrate respect for one and other. If not, take care anyways.
I wasn't forced, and I did just that.
