ah, quickly googled and thankfully I'm not the only one to notice this
Why don't these exist in the movie/tv universe? How the fuck does anybody buy anything?
>today
There is literally never not a thread in the catalog complaining about common movie tropes.
>go to buy something in a shop
>it's 4.99
>go to hand the guy 5 note
>''just put it in the machine''
>points to the self checkout on the counter in between us
>''it's 4.99, i'll just give you the note, keep the change''
>''put it in the machine please''
>refuses my money and watches me go through the process of a self checkout machine so that i can get 1p change that i don't want
this is why skynet wins
jesus christ do americans really?
we have everything contactless here in eastern europe
i though america was supposed to be advanced country kek
lmao
American here. Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t credit cards less common in Europe? Americans have a whole range of cards they use to buy stuff.
everyone has debit card
you pay with the money you actually have
Am I the only one who doesn't think this is weird? I honestly don't see anything wrong with any of those. I hang up all the time after saying "alright" "got it" or something similar all the time, no goodbye necessary, especially at work.
