This costume is a mess.

The cowl and the bodysuit aesthetics are violently clashing.
While the cowl insinuates something hand made, the bodysuit is something of industrial fabrication. The materiais and style just dont mesh well together.

It would be great if they didn't weaponize the symbol like that. I can can kind of see what they were going with in terms of a young Batman, but that just ruins the idea that this is probably his first outfit. You're totally right, OP, the rugged cowl clashes hard with the tacticool suit.

I think it's gonna be a grungy noir take on Batman with some Burton style treatment, something a little different than what we've seen from Snyder and Nolan. Should be fun

Bale suit was fantastic, it looked functional and grounded, no funny looking armor, just a real world suit that doesn't make the wearer superman. The design is well thought out too, very aesthetic
and while Batman himself may not have been as memorable as Joker or Bane in Nolan's movies, Bruce was perfectly acted by Bale. Batman movies aren't about Batman anyway, he's literally just a masked vigilante. It's the villains that have always been engaging and memorable.

Why didnt they just pick a style and ran with it? The crude cowl could even work If the rest of the suit had a matching style. Meshing together conflicting styles is a sign that they didnt plan this with competence. Wonder if the rest of the movie reflects that.
