How did this work so well when so many other shows like it failed? Something like Lexx was just as weird but never was able to make itself so good like Farscape.

Agreed, it sounded really alien, but then got rid of the weird sounds after season 1 and it became boring. Also jarring is how different D'Argo looks between seasons 1 and 2

I fucking LOVE Stargate, and started this show on the promise it's as good, if not better...
I got to the point where the ship had a baby, and a few episodes past that, then stopped.
The chicks are all fucking so hot in it, but I just haven't felt compelled to continue watching, and I've watched Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis like 3 times since then.
