Dune was never meant to be a kids' story. And you're mistaken in thinking that LotR doesn't have any themes tied to the real world's moral, religious and historical precedents. In fact, the movies make it considerably plainer and easier for the viewer to grasp the allusions and allegories than the books, so I'm surprised you still haven't realized that.
WHERE IS THE FUCKING TEASER AHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCK YOU CANADIAN FROG
>Dune was never meant to be a kids story
This is what i was saying you dense fuck. They are releasing it in the holidays a conventional time of taking your kids to the movies.
>blade runner was a big budget movie with an established fan base and it didn't do so well
BR49 wasn't released in December. And I can assure you there are more Dune fans out there than Blade Runner ones
>This is also R rated and has an even less known of a following than blade runner
Source on the R-rating? Also, like I said above, the movie/book is not supposed to be your typical kiddy fairy tale story
>It's not going to be a box office hit mate, and reading the wiki plot synopsis of the book alone is going to put people off from taking their friends and kids to see this. It's only going to be for the autists.
That's why it is important the first teaser/trailer to be made captivatingly impressive enough so that it makes the normies intrigued from a first viewing
>pre-Christmas movie holiday = pre-Christmas kid's movie holiday
You have to be absolutely retarded to think that families with kids are the only major demographic targeted movie-going group during this period
>continues to put words in my mouth and blow facts into hypothetical absolutes
Spice/10 heres your (you)
>muh sand
Oh it isn't R? I just assumed that it was. Denis Venenevoo said it was going to be Star Wars for adults, so I just took that it meant it was going to be R. My bad.
>tfw we'll die to the virus before we get to see Timothee play as Paul before the end of the year
Not like this bros
Thats sounds like a good thing tho.
So lets recast this anons, we can leave Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin. Who should replace Momoa, Zendaya, Bautista and Isaac?
