I'm not even a Star Trek fan and this show is so fucking bad it legitimately makes me angry. I'm just hate watching it at this point but I'm losing the battle, I'm genuinely mad. What the fuck is wrong with female writers?

ok Yas Forumstard

Don't reward their show with your attention.

That's right, everything new is bad and should just be cancelled.

You're a fucking retard. How the fuck is one show being bad, fucking horrible and godawful, somehow turned into "all new things bad' in your fucking low IQ rotten brain? Just a worthless being with nothing to contribute

>What the fuck is wrong with female writers?

Show is created by Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman and Alex Kurtzman.

Unironically, are you an incel?

Would someone who liked discovery enjoy this?

>"the show is written by women"
>yeah but it was created by some guys

are you a fucking literal retard? The lead writers are a fat female nigger and a fat old wine aunt.

Picard is bad, not new. Fucking hell, calling Picard as a show new is even stretching it, it's a fucking sequel to the show that's from fucking 80's. You could make that argument with STD, but not with Picard.

STAR TREK PICARD IS NOT STAR TREK
STAR TREK DISCOVERY IS NOT STAR TREK

WE SHOULD COMBINE THE TWO SHOWS AND CALL IT STAR TREK DISCARD

This is a phony bait thread. If you don't understand our dialectic here please don't post. It's honestly embarrassing. "I hate women don't you guys hate women too?" Where's the subtlety?

Picard's overall story could have been decent except it has terrible editing and Picard himself is a negligent asshole for no reason, which is either an assortment of plotholes or bad writing depending on how you view it. I think having 30 producers hurts the show.

I like Elrond a lot but he really had no fucking reason to come along in a world where phasers exist. I want to see his plot line with Seven more than anything else in the show. As for the synths I really don't care at all until the big bad is revealed because it appears that everyone is really on the same team.

OH NO THEY'RE TAKING OVERRRRR

Is there a way to section off Elnor, Seven, bring Hugh back to life, and take the Rios' ENH and give them their own, much better, show?

>Where's the subtlety?

Not everything is a meme you anime posting retard, the lead writers are women, and women's stylistic choices are all over the series (emotion being more important than anything else, retard drama, fate and destiny and tarrot cards)

If you can't recognize female hands all over this series it's unironically because you don't associate with women and don't know how they work

I will give 1 Reddit up vote to the person who came up with this because I like it.

funny because episode 7 and 8 were actually decent. and the worst episodes were the first 3...hmmmm

>Akiva Goldsman
>Alex Kurtzman
Them, Damon Lindelof, Roberto Orci and couple of others, I like to refer to them as the Bad Robot Batch. They do nothing but parasite on other franchises still riding the wave of Lost.

>or bad writing
>or

star trek was never good
star wars was never good
grow the f up...

Yes they were. Granted the whole show is terrible but the latest two episodes were actually good compared to the earlier ones and no amount of meme images will change that fact.

You forgot Doctor Who there.

every episode has been equally really really really bad. You're delusional, get him out of here

I'd argue the worst episodes were 4 and 5. But yes, from 6 onwards its steadily been getting more Star Trek. It began with Hugh not treating Picard like a total piece of shit, and showing him how Borg can be rehabilitated, and continued with Riker and Troi being actually wonderful and some actual Trekisms in Ep 8. I could see an older style TNG episode strictly about Rios like we had in Ep8, about a guy with a personality split over 5 hologram shipmates.

>meme images
>.gif

>every episode has been equally really really really bad.
not really. episode 7 explained most of what is going on finally and the whole episode had riker and troi back and it was nice. episode 8 explained things even further and i liked the part with raffi talking to all the holos. every characters motive is now explained contrary to the earlier episodes were it was just confusion.

>hate watching
Cringe.

>semantics
gifs are made up of images in frames. kys

Just because shitty things finally start happening after half a season in a shit show doesn't make the episodes any less shit.

I don't think the quality is any different from the early episodes until now, you're just getting used to the characters and becoming immunized against cringe. Every episode has had bad parts in it so far.

Seven of Nine series when? Can we just cancel seasons 2 and 3 of Picard and have Seven of Nine's Borger Rangers adventures?

...

So, would you describe movies as meme images in long sequence?

nice reading comprehension

no, because movies aren't made because memes, fuckhead

When Borg Seven said Annika had work to do was that her or some Borg hivemind talking for her?

I think most people would say STD Season 2 is better than STD Season 1. The bar was just that low.

I agree. Episode 7 was a nice change of pace. Barely any action besides the ship part with captain rios (however you spell it) and raffi and that blonde girl. Picard and Riker and Troi were nice to see and was very "trek like" looked at things rationally and decided a course of action. Also Picard finally got told to act less like a fucking asshole by Troi.

>movies aren't made because memes

>Picard finally got told
That's the only thing he's done thus far.

Bad answers to bad questions are still bad answers.

The whole show is a farce and you should feel bad for liking it. Even ignoring how catastrophically it shits on the lore and legacy of the original TNG television series -- on it's own it's a C- show at best.

I mean what can he do. Patrick is like fucking 90 years old or somthing. His goal in the entire show has been to find doctor chin and take care of her because she's data's daughter and that's it.

>Bad answers to bad questions are still bad answers.
Nah you just completely missed my post and I doubt you even understood it. Again I say, nice reading comprehension.

Also didn't bother reading the rest of your post because this is the last (you) i give you

Heh I torrented the new episode and forgot to even watch it yet.

I really want to know what the fuck is going on behind the scenes in Star Trek shows. Star Trek has always been a clusterfuck of a production historically, the original series had rewrites as they were filming episodes (but to be fair, original could easily rebound from rewrites as most episodes are self-contained), Gene getting fired from TNG. But holy fuck, can you just imagine the clusterfuck that happened when STD changed 3 showrunners in a single season. I feel like something similar is going on with Picard, the only concrete vision and storyline we have is that Federation bad and Picard is senile, the rest is literal ad-lib.

>Also didn't bother reading the rest of your post because this is the last (you) i give you

The easiest way to tell someone had been told on Yas Forums is that he starts pretending to not read posts that demolish him. Loving every laugh.

>latest episodes were good compared to previous ones
>nice reading comprehension retard you just dont understand my intellect

>bad, fucking horrible and godawful
RETARD

>the only concrete vision and storyline we have is that Federation bad and Picard is senile, the rest is literal ad-lib.
I mean, Picard & Friends are under the assumption saving androids, or synths, is the right thing to do, morally or whatever because it's part of Picard's values and therefore extends to starfleet values. Federation is bad because they abandoned romulan refugees and have been infiltrated by romulan secret club and are acting like xenophobic assholes. That's about the general jist

Did they ever explain why Hugh was on that cube? Wasn't he in the Delta quadrant or something?

@130740039
>he thinks you have to be a genius to understand my post
lmao it's just basic shit. I don't want to reiterate myself a second time and argue with a person who can't figure it out or you're trolling either way. I don't have time for that.

Picard is such a dickface for no reason in this show. He called Hubris Lady and just antagonized her and gloated in her face. Hello we're sort of in an intergalactic crisis that could wipe out the entire Milky Way here....shut the fuck up Picard.

STD Season 2 had it's moments. And i really liked Pike.

yeah lmao basically called up to ask for an apology and gets told to shut the fuck up.

Pikes spinoff is all but announced now. Production has been setting up and hiring in Canada for it, under the working title Star Trek Strange New Worlds. It sounds like it bumped the Section 31 show off the radar, hopefully forever

Everything involving her is just an ad-lib. Most of Borg stuff feels like writers are watching TNG as they go along with the show. Data scenes also feel like ad-libbing and just go nowhere, he's there just to bring in the TNG crowd. Like, literally, just as I said, everything you described is concerning Picard and Federation, the rest of the show is ad-lib of a story. You can't have an A plot and just figure out B plots as you go along.

One of the writers for Picard S2 also let slip that it's happening as well. He also confirmed S2 and S3 of Picard will be filled back to back, which will fulfill the entire series order

By her I meant Dahj.

Did he just own you so hard you forgot how Yas Forums works?

>Most of Borg stuff feels like writers are watching TNG as they go along with the show.
Yeah I agree. Borg lost their charm a long time ago. I liked when Q flung the enterprise in the fucking delta quadrant to fight Borg for the first time to tell him he's fucked but then they showed them way too often.
> Data scenes also feel like ad-libbing and just go nowhere
Data was like in 2 scenes. Also you're using ad lib a lot. Hell Riker and Troi had more screentime.
But yeah I agree.
@130740192
you can stop samefagging anytime

(((Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman and Alex Kurtzman)))

There is some kind of pattern here...

Pike was a standout because typically good actors can elevate any scripts. And Bohanon was selling you on STD's scripts like a Jahovah's witness wanted to sell you Jesus.

Picard represents the white man being replaced, but first he must go around the galaxy being reprimanded by powerful women for all the wrongs he has wrought, before finally dying as a pathetic cuck.

Fuck (((Kurtzman))) and his cohorts, and fuck CBS for allowing them to do this to Star Trek.

Attached: 11915445484.jpg (306x227, 15.36K)

I have nothing really else to say, I just want to say good on you, not many people have mental fortitude to say "yeah, I agree" to a person you disagree with or person who disagrees with you. I can't comprehend why would you defend Picard, but at least you seem like a reasonable fella, you do you.

>you can stop samefagging anytime

>there is only one person on Yas Forums
>perhaps if I use quote function incorrectly he won't see my post and won't laugh at me
Tooo bad. I found out anyway.
Also stop posting in this thread. All your posts are just "no, don't write like THAT", "you can dislike a show but not in THAT way", "stop using THAT word". Just pointless bitching for the sake of bitching.

Why was Dahj so much better in her 50 minutes than Soji in 10 episodes?

It really makes you wonder how much of Patrick Steward legend that he refused doing Nemesis until they get a better script is true. In the end, he said yes to a movie that became Nemesis regardless. Just what the fuck are his standards?

you can't stop anytime, I ain't reading your shit lmao
