It is losing ratings. It has less viewers now than it did during the very first season. It was just so massive that even losing a huge chunk of its audience still puts it ahead of anything else on AMC.

It's been a while since I watched it, but Dead Set was a pretty kino miniseries. Basically a zombie outbreak is happening while people are doing the Big Brother UK reality show - and it's MUCH better than it sounds like.

It's 40 minutes a week broken up into two 8 run blocks a year. Hardly that much to "sink" in. It's really not that deep, anyone that has an even passing interest in the show could easily invest that. Ben wastes 10x that amount a time a week on twitter.

I rewatched parts of the first 3 seasons recently and have to say, the character development was excellent. Where they fucked up was stretching it out too long and killing people off for retarded reasons.
