it got d&d blacklisted, which is nice

What was the boards reactions when this happened? Was it already hated by that point or was this the moment that pissed everyone off?

It wasn’t a very long night all things considered

It was already hated from the getgo when the heroes started using absolutely retarded military tactics, how dark everything was, and then when characters kept getting surrounded by zombies but because the camera moves away from them at that moment they aren't allowed to die and will reappear a minute later absolutely safe and sound. Arya killing the Night King was just the icing on top.

Everyone saw the leaks already so they knew how shit the series was gonna turn but they did not see that Arya killing the Night king coming.
It was the moment everyone just checked out of the series. Then it was just shut posting and laughing at it.
Claiming Daenerys was based while the show somehow became worse than the leaks by miles

as soon as this shit series was over i washed it from my mind and i literally do not think about and kind of only remember it existing from earlier seasons from time to time

>What was the boards reactions when this happened
It was very similar to the reactions when TLJ and Justice League came out.

It wasn't kino, but it made real life kino. Suddenly everyone looked up from their wank fantasies and realized that the series they liked was shit all along.

FUCKING EPIIIIIIIIIXXXX yaaaassss

I can't believe I wasted time in the 2010s following this shitshow

Imagine naming your kid Daenerys and then watching the second to last episode.

Everyone was laughing at normalfags getting upset.

They wasted a huge budget on massive battles and special effects when the show was built on drama and intrigue. It was gay and it sucked.

It's pretty hilarious
This show was referenced in so much popular media for nearly a decade. It drawed crowds of people into bars to watch and cheer as if it was a live sporting event finals.
Then the final season came around, and suddenly its as if this show never existed. No one talks about it anymore. No one refers to it, nothing.
I stopped watching after Sansa got raped tbqh, so I don't know what the fuck they did to piss everyone off so much that no one even wants to acknowledge that fanboy period of their life.

This is just a fucking Emilia thread in disguise, isn't it.

Apparently, HBO was planning on turning this into a massive franchise, but S8 sucked so bad they had to cancel the Blood Moon spinoff.
Who knows what else was on the table.

>Arya killing the Night King
so many stupid decisions in this show but this was the icing on the shit cake
she should have died the zombies should have won and everyone should have ran to kings landing
and the final battle should have been there, how a little girl could just kill the night king was stupid!!!

For emiliafags it is, yes.

So your expectations were subverted :^)

The issue isn't whether she is capable but rather whether she has any business doing so from a storytelling/thematic perspective. Her plotline and character arc had nothing to do with this. Even Sansa killing him would have made more sense.

Planetos is ripe for stories. I think an animated Dunk and Egg series would be worthwhile, or even live action. The Dance of the Dragons would be a great blockbuster movie, or maybe a couple of movies or a trilogy.

I think once he finishes the books (lolol) they should do an animated version of A Song of Ice and Fire.

The other series they have proposed don’t really interest me.

Very epic my friend. This truly was a Game of Thrones (tm)

she isn't even the hottest GoT actress

Maisie Williams is

though snow would kill him but it was a sacrifice like!
if i was writing it the same thing would have happened but the night king snapped her neck just as she was about to kill him, maybe latter sansa had to kill her zombie sister

the only reason it existed was muh womyn power pandering

Wow, an actual boomer.

Ok I don't say this often, but this post is based
The things I'd do to squeeze her legs

GoT is one of the finest examples of why showrunners and writers need to avoid listening to fans, or just the internet period. Fans collectively don't know what they want, and they aren't writers.

Showrunners also need to stop trying to outsmart the legion of online theories and spoilers by making last minute asspulls like GoT, or through intentionally convoluted storytelling (Westworld S2). It's retarded and arrogant.

they whole show turned into that once the tumblr crowd got thier shitty fingers into it

You Sir are a man of culture and taste. Maisie's legs are on another level.

boy legs

wait? what?

Bran and Gendry and Rickon and Joffrey and Tommen and Jojen and Dickon and Lancel and Loras and Robin are relentlessly handsome.

Not them but I think you may have autism if you can't tell the difference between feminine legs and boy legs
Assuming you aren't just meming

Is preston based? Or is he cringe?

No, it was. That's its problem. It was A long night, not THE Long Night.

Your way of typing is exclusively used by boomers.

sorry i not into twinks

Q-ratings are so terrible. They result in good characters being overused and turned into caricatures.

Even with the zombie army defeated there's still meant to be years of a really harsh winter, and Westeros has made no preparations for it because of all the war.

only good thing to come out of this trash

Naw bro cold man was the winter

So Westeros is normal seasons now?

What does that have to do with what I said?

Pretty sure being stopped dead in mid-air like that would have just snapped her neck like a hangman's noose.

The neck is increadibly hard to break

Are you capable of forming your own opinions?

Should have bran warging a dragon into a kamikaze attack

Entertaining enough, but not nearly as consequential as it should have been. COMPLETELY forgotten by the next episode

the night king is an olympic champion though

>Maisie
>not based Carice
im not even a maisie hater but kys, you utter pleb

Not completely true. When Dany went bad and burnt 1/2 the city, Some here loved it. Actually it spawned ECG threads to be spammed to the point mods were deleting the threads.

Her fucking up Kings Landing imo was the only good part of the final season.

It's infuriating since I liked how the episode was shot (even the fact that everything was dark), special effects, costumes, acting, it was all top notch and something you don't see on TV. But the writing was awful, simply awful, it ruined everything. I was hoping that this endgame was going to save the decline of the show after S5 but it didn't, it was really a nail in a coffin. There is so much you could point that it's tiresome.
One of which is Tyrion, the supposedly smart one, going to take shelter inside the crypts, with a guy who can bring back corpses to life around.

powerful

They canceled that prequel and then ordered a different one to series.

I dropped this shit around season 4 I think so I didn't see it. I enjoyed reading the threads and catching up on what I missed.

Werent that long

Actually they made a whole pilot for the prequel. When the execs sat down to watch it, they said the show was to Woke, it would piss off the fanbase, Westeros was now "diverse" and it didn't make sense considering Westeros in GOT is just white people and Med looking people in Dorne. They spent 20 million on the pilot too.

sauce?

all they had to do was have jaime be the protagonist of the episode and it would have fixed everything

"Too woke and subversive, would alienate audience" is just one quote.

I really wanted to love it, but I despise it.
