>Ezra Miller is currently filming a 10-hour CBS All Access mini-series based on Steven King’s post-apocalyptic novel The Stand – King’s book was published in 1978, but could now be read as a sly forewarning of the coronavirus outbreaks.
Kinda bummed out that they wasted Matthew McConaughey as Flagg in the shitty Dark Tower movie, but Skarsgard is a good second choice.
Easton Barnes
Naw man, Lloyd is one of the two guys from the gas station spree. Im talking about the guy who shoves a gun up trashcan man's ass and forces him to give him a handy. The guy who drives the car.
Isaiah Kelly
Nah, he looks like a serial killer, that’s actually good casting.
why the flying fuck would they waste one of the greatest IPs on a faggot ass network like CBS? If HBO could turn the steaming pile of shit that is the Outsiders into something watchable imagine what they could do to something as epic as The Stand
Sebastian Edwards
Agreed. While that movie was mostly terrible, McConaughey was not. I've been reading the Dark Tower series lately and I can't unsee him as Walter/Marten/Flagg.
Michael Ward
yea your right, can't remember his name
Caleb Gonzalez
It's CBS All Access though, that's like CBS's HBO. So they can be violent/shocking.
Isaac Diaz
Guys trashcan man is being played by marilyn manson
>could now be read as a sly forewarning of the coronavirus outbreaks. Fucking hell
Asher Jenkins
who the fuck is henry zaga? Nick Andros is kinda an important character, arguably the main character
Anthony Stewart
HNNNNNNNGH
Easton Cook
could you faggots just fucking kill yourselves
Xavier Hughes

I started watching the 1994 one this week after Chapo mentioned it and folks... it's not great.
It has a VERY made-for-TV 90s vibe in that the acting is (intentionally?) over-the-top. Every actor is fighting to chew as much of the scenery as they can, except for maybe Gary Sinese and Rob Lowe. Most of the scenes are about 60% longer than they should to be, as well.
I'm halfway through it and debating if I want to continue.
Aaron Harris
The Kid. He drank coors and acted like a greaser. Raped poor Trashy
Gabriel Baker
out of everyone cast, and it is really well cast, I could think of no one more perfect for Nadine then Heard
i hated this fucking book and i hate stephen king. i hope he fucking dies of corona
Colton Turner
your correct, and it was a big very expensive tv movie at the time but lots of it s very aged, flagg is intentionally over the top and Nadine iirc is pretty well acted, and the rock star guy, and most of the bad guys, trashy is also suppose to be over the top
Robert Cook
why? the first 1/2 is pretty great, 2nd not so much, like all king books really
Adam Brooks
Oh yeah Nadine. It's a shame she never did a nude scene.
You can just hide the posts or thread, you know. Are you mad because it made you feel something?
Ethan Green
who is he playing?
Daniel Baker
>130691947 yea nausea
Jose Butler
That opening scene where they all die in the lab as "Don't Fear the Reaper" plays in the background scared the crap out of me as a kid.
Julian Phillips
the first half of the book was good, i stopped reading it somewhere around the time the old voodoo woman disappears, it just got boring by that point. i read a summary of the rest of the book and it seemed stupid
Brandon Harris
It’s a fucking great scene even if the show is kind of goofy.
