I miss this brigga like you wouldnt believe

>autism not included

friendly reminder the Brig is now a cyberman

Then not sure how you feel about the big finish recast, he sounds just like him tho I bet the actor is a big brigga fan too.

Ah yes and Bill too, who could forget.

this would be based just drop that darkwater shit

>Jon Culshaw
But Tom Baker is one of his few actually good impressions.

He is what we call, "insurance," user.

Reminder, there's a cosmic horror audio story featuring the 6th doctor this June and the cover looks sick.

Hopefully they take the high road on Lovecraft's racism. Namely that it is not mentioned and they just have fun with him being an awkward sperg.

With the season 12 ending does this mean he is canon?

May as well confuse what newcomers Doctor Who draws at this point. Make the show feel the full weight of its mistake.

God I wish I had a bf to watch Doctor Who with!

We need to keep the thread up, enough for the Brits to see it on the morning so It's saved.

THERE ARE NO YOUNG AND HANDSOME AND NON-FEMME DOCTORS. FACT!

Anyone else struggle to pay attention to Big Finish? Trying to listen to tennants ones and idk whats happening.

But McGann was hot.

It's the effect of hearing something that it ain't that good, and the main problem is that, you are listening Tennant ones, why?

Because i like tennants voice and the 10th doctor...

What else have you listened to?

>watch old eps or dr who
>every reference to Timelords/Gallifrey/Rassilon is now tainted because of the show now

Nothing
First time ive listened to an audiobook.

Until the show goes back to it's decent and comfy state let's say the 12th doctor passed on the TARDIS.

reminder that you can just drop doctor who entirely and start watching superior shows instead

I recommend listening at 1.2x speed and while doing something else. I primarily listen to BF while driving to and from work.

>watching a youtube gaming video
>one of the commentators mentions flying (gliding) snakes
>decide to google them
>watch a 5 minute docco clip about one
>think to myself "hmmm this narrator is really familiar"
>google the docco
>narrated by McGann
It's not surprising that he's good at narrating.

Based zoomer.

If it's your first time listening to an audio book or audio drama then it's probably a matter of acclimating yourself to them. Listening to audio dramas or audio books is definitely a distinctly different experience from listening to music, reading a book, or watching a movie/television.

Huh. Neat.

Gee, you picked the wrong one to begin with, I heavily recommend you to listen the 8th doctor ones, they are on Spotify or at least most of them, there's some great stories on the 6th (urgent calls) and 5th (cuddlesome) doctor on the Big Finish sound cloud and search for a lost stories of the 4th doctor called "the foe from the future" for some reason the 10th doctor ones aren't as good and I'm kinda sorry about it.

>Superior
>Watching TV
Choose one horse fucker.

Is tennant bad to start with?
I’m nuwho only so idk which other ones to listen to besides perhaps 8th.

Can't argue with those digits. Buy why argue when we can play Only Fools and Horses using the Doctor Who RPG?

dilate

8th doctor ones, they are on Spotify or at least most of them, there's some great stories on the 6th (urgent calls) and 5th (cuddlesome) doctor on the Big Finish sound cloud and search for a lost stories of the 4th doctor called "the foe from the future" also on Spotify. Maybe it's how the pace of his era is different from other doctors and maybe that's the reason the 10th doctor ones aren't as good and I'm kinda sorry about it, all doctors should have great stories on all mediums.

brothers in arms

That's a matter of taste really. I didn't mind the 10th audios myself. They're decent but nothing mind blowing. I will say that the Big Finish Tenth audios are differently paced from the televised episodes which might be throwing you off. As I noted here: I like to listen to Big Finish at 1.2x speed. What often happens with audiobooks and in many audio dramas is that as you speed it up the speech patterns of the cast transition from performers reading from a script into what sounds like more naturally flowing dialogue. Where that point is reached is a matter of preference of course.

Here's to a new alliance forged for a thousand generations.

If the black female child refugee is a pre-Hartnell Doctor then so is Rodney.

You could listen to the Torchwood series (which even has its own monthly episodes nowadays), The Lives of Captain Jack series (S3 is out this month, I think), or The Diary of River Song (nearly heach volume of her series has an adventure with a previous Doctor that can't know who she is).

And of course who better than the doctor to talk about an impossible predator who gets outsmarted by a smaller prey.

I always knew Rodney was black.

this is now a Blakes 7 thread post your best B7

mcgann, you stupid namefag who everyone hates

Ok guys tell me which one is the best Sonic screwdriver and why is it the 8th doctor's one?

nah, fuck that doona as lead sounds terrible, she only worked as companion to 10, and only then after Rose and Martha

>tfw no /who/ bf who is ok with trannies

I don't have a problem with that, I'm just very lonely and might be a little clingy. Are you ok with that?

The Lives of Captain Jack series is great. Volume Two, episode 1, has Jack meeting the 6th Doctor and temporarily taking his place. The ending when 6th comes in doing a bad American accent, pretending to be Jack arriving to help out "The Doctor" was hilarious, but then at the very end he apologises for 9 abandoning Jack and it rounded out the episode perfectly.

I'm tentatively excited for Volume 3, with Jack meeting River.

Wait so you are a tranny?

are you a gril?

No I'm just lonely, I thought you were?

Didn't McGann make the new outfit himself (first appeared at a New Zealand convention, IIRC) and after the BBC/BF okayed it, it became canon for Dark Eyes onwards?

I have always wanted to hear to this one, I haven't because I at least wanted to hear one thing from every doctor before going to the spin-offs and the only doctors I haven't heard of are 10, 9 and 1

I am, but I'm not that desperate for a boyfriend being perfectly honest.

I take it that series is like Bernice Summerfield and River Song?

so male, pls kys, if you want to just hang out and watch good tv well thats different

Eccleston has said that he won't do audio, so the best you'll get are the narrated stories and the ones with an impersonator.
I haven't listened to The First Doctor Adventures yet, so I can't give an opinion if they're good or not. All I know is that they're better than the portrayal of Hartnell's doctor in Twice Upon a Time.
Yeah. It's a nice format.

Man you guys talking about spin-offs and shit and I feel like I'm missing out, is there a correct path to begin with the spin-offs? I know there is a spin off, about the doctor's daughter who was literally born on and regenerated for the first time in the same episode.

So if I was a girl you'd be simping right now but I'm not so I need to kill myself? Classic user. Who is your favorite Doctor?

>they're better than the portrayal of Hartnell's doctor in Twice Upon a Time.
Didn't expected less from Big Finish, and with the 4th volume coming out very soon I bet they are some good shit.

Find a character/group you like and listen to it.
There's no overarching Big Finish plot, so it's really a case of listening to what you like and ignoring what you don't.

yes, mcgann is based

Attached: mcgann.jpg (349x700, 45.93K)

faggo, and no chance i'd make a decision depends on mood

Sorry but I'm not familiarized with the number "faggo"

bradley is great as 1 you need to get over tuat, its not only not bad its pretty damn good

We have to wait until summer (July) for a new 5th monthly story, quite sad he has been the best on audio lately.

> David Bradley First Doctor
For the most part he's literally just playing the First Doctor with a younger cast playing the companions in stories no different from any other First Doctor stories. Well worth the listen.

this is why you have no-one to watch Who with faggo

What were they thinking?
