is this just one big ad
Is this just one big ad
No, it's part of american culture, xenophobe. All cultures are worthy of respect.
it's keaton fucking kino is what it is
If it's an ad, it's a bad ad. What I took away from the movie was that McDonald's used to be good before it became a corporation.
Everything is an add
Based Chad Kroc dabbing on the retard McDonalds brothers
Anyone who thinks Kroc did anything wrong is either retarded or a communist.
Here come the McDonald's shills.
im 25 mins in feeling like a ad
this is one of those movies about MEN being MEN doing what ever it takes to make it
pic related
What characterization is that exactly?
If I saw a competitor drowning, I'd shove a hose down his throat
an ad for kino? Yes, yes it is.
I get why he ditched his wife, because she was interested in all the wrong things. But picking up that gold digger and cucking a guy that bought into his franchise was lame. He did nothing wrong the rest of the movie though.
my mom hated the scene when he said he wanted a divorce, it was kind of a dick move 2bh, she was a pretty supportive wife
It’s a biography dipshit
She wasn't, she doubted him constantly until he made it big.
He literally mentions in the movie that he is slavic
i haven't watched it in a long while but didn't she help him financially at one point?
No, she yelled at him when he mortgaged the house.
agree, I literally wanted to eat McDonalds as soon as I finished watching it. (and I did)
it's based on Ray Kroc's book, "Grinding It Out."
historical fiction*
>not eating mcdonalds while you watch it
fucking pleb
I saw it in theaters, ours doesn't have a McDonalds yet (hopefully sometime soon though inshallah)
>not stuffing your pockets with mcdoubles
double fucking pleb
Is it really an ad when it's about the greed, exploitation, and hypocrisy of McDonalds?
>Dr. Pavel, I'm MCD.
the first third is and will make you crave it, but then it cuts the crap and the movie begins
damn son, based. I will learn.
Greedy scoundrel who steals the success from hardworking white men using financial loopholes and underhanded methods?
You'll mash them that way, I just put them in my purse.
No it was a good movie.
true america
what about recommendation threads this board is fill with pointless meme shit & i never heard about this movie i saw it going around but noone ever said it was KINO
It's technically an ad for a McDonald's that doesn't exist anymore so I guess so?
why are ambitious men looked down on in HOLLYWOOD
It was weird he couldn't sell milkshake machines in the fifties. I mean wtf haven't milkshakes been popular for ever?
Dude she was a fucking cunt literally the Skylar
Didn't feel that way to me. It's not worth watching though.
What a jew doing selling Bibles
BRAINWASHING THE GOY
He was selling mixers that worked on multiple shakes, but it is demonstrated and explained in the movie that most fast food places weren't very fast, and they never had to make that many shakes at once.
Jews hate it when Caucasian straight men are successful without Jewish influence. Notice who Hollywood hates and villifies and get back to us?
Hmm yeah I was confused by that though. That seems to contradict Dairy Queen and Sonic's for instance.
FUCK THESE 2 STEP UP OF GET LEFT BEHIND
all worship the great mother Ayn Rand
those two brothers were fucking retarded
most movies are told from their POV
this was set in the 50s dude. those places didn’t exist
perfectly cast
It's a movie about ambition and the drive needed to make a gigantic global success like McDonald's. In the film, a lot of Ray's actions are unkind or even sociopathic, while the McDonald's brothers are more empathetic and focused on creating quality food. But, the film also makes no bones about the fact the way they did business would never succeed or scale. In any other story, Ray would be the bad guy and the brothers the good guys, as the evil salesperson coming to take the dream away from the hardworking small-town folks. But Ray does what it takes and he succeeds completely by the end, is innovative and cuts corners where necessary, and by the end he's king of the biggest fast food empire the world has ever seen. Kroc isn't wrong in what he says at the end, the brothers' had everything they needed to succeed, even their name, but by the end Kroc had everything instead.
>"I just have to ask you one thing, something I never understood. That day we met, we gave you the tour. We showed you everything, the whole system, all our secrets, we were an open book. So why didn't you just-"
>"Steal it? It would have failed."
>"How do you know?"
>"Am I the only one who got the kitchen tour? You must have invited a lot of people back there. How many of them succeeded?"
>"Lots of people start restaurants."
>"As big as McDonald's? Of course not. No-one ever has and no-one ever will because they all lacked that one thing that makes McDonald's special."
>"Which is?"
>"Even YOU don't know..."
>"Enlighten me."
>"It's not just the system, Dick. It's the name. That glorious name, McDonald's. I remember the first time I saw that name stretched across your stand out there. It was love at first sight. I knew right then and there I had to have it. And now I do."
>"You don't have it."
>"You sure about that?"
The McDonald's brothers didn't give a shit about getting rich or expanding until Kroc made it a possibility. Then he gave each of them a million dollars (after tax) to fuck off because they were still trying to slow down the process.
Everyone acts like Kroc stole from them, but if he hadn't shown up then they likely wouldn't have gotten any money at all.
That's the point of the film. You can't succeed on Kroc's scale without being a cunt, and despite the brothers being a weight on the business, it could be argued Kroc was much kinder to them than he could have been. But then again, by the end he's literally stolen everything from them. The film puts it to you whether the success was worth it or not.
An ad for what? A sneaky cunt and a couple of annoying brothers?
The movie is PURE JEW, americans are brainwashed to the point of celebrating the jew, to cheer for Enron and Wall street
fpbp
fuck off commie
Yes. Egregiously so.
Every time you think it's veering into anything interesting or slightly controversial (criticizing the big M) it goes into ridiculous cock sucking overdrive immediately.
>bad guy does something "bad"
>oh but look at this perfectly assembled burger in his hand wow
>5 minutes of Keaton acting baffled by the burger's taste and juiciness
>"wow this milkshake is good even if it is powdered milk... MMmmMM"
>everyone acts like they're on fucking sesame street
>btw muh golden arches
One of the worst "movies" I've ever seen.
Keep liking the asshole of the jew.
Nah, the movie grew hate on me. And my whole family thought this too, the founder was a major cunt and the whole empire was build in treachery. I haven't mcdonalds since.
Also, mcdonalds stuff sucks anyway.
kino moment and checked. I have no problem with what Ray did. if you're dumb enough to get fucked, get fucked. They could have always said, fuck off we're just doing this. But they didn't. Boo hoo.
I don't even hate McD's, it's okay fast food. But if you're going to advertise a movie like this then have it be such a safe play farce then cut the shit and make an ad.
Reminds me of that time they had that asian myth busters guy make a 10 minute "viral" ad disproving how their nuggets don't use pink goop because they use white goop instead so it's totally healthy A-okay. It's cartoonishly ridiculous.
>"Noooooo you can't be successful with what you bought from meeeee!!!
ragingsoyface.jpg
What is it with you people, if I buy your business and do the same with it or fail its fine? But if I buy your business and then do amazingly I somehow stole it. What the fuck man.
>le “everything’s is an ad you can’t fool me” redditor
you and your senpai are literal brainlets. You going to verify that every business you're a patron of was built from the ground up and not sold? I bet you shop at Amazon, you agree with everything they do? Fucking stupid hypocrite.
can someone explain to me why mcdonalds is so bad? i know it’s unhealthy food but if you only eat it occasionally i don’t see the problem. the food is cheap and feeds a lot of people. using american obesity as an argument is retarded because they provide all the nutritional information and some fat cunt only has themselves to blame for not being able to stop gorging themselves on fast food
