You stopped in early season 7, and seasons 7 and 8 are generally regarded as the worst, so it will be a struggle. Seasons 9 and 10 are good, but if the momentum of the entire rest of the series couldn't get you through that dark age, I'm not so sure a couple watchable seasons afterward will be enough of an incentive. You'll probably call it quits once the garbage people show up.
