Shrek is kind of a bad movie for this, it's about who you are on the inside being beautiful. Do they subvert that by going and making the bad guy prince charming? This is why shrek 2 is the better movie. It shows that even pretty people can be bad people on the inside too, something the original shrek kind of glossed over.
