Is it recency bias or is this just as good if not better than the Simpsons?

I still think the Simpsons best was slightly better but I love KOTH and it was good for a longer period than the Simpsons. Even though it gets noticeably weaker in the later seasons there is still no bad seasons.

Never got into KotH. I should give it another shot, I really like most of Mike Judge's other stuff

It's a lot better than The Simpsons
Initially, the art style turned me off, but one day I sat down and watched it (probably too lazy to change the channel) and I realized how great it was

>tfw literally nobody I know watches/likes KotH so I have nobody to discuss it with

Senor Montoya >>> Itchy & Scratchy

>we must take her to the commandante
>I'm getting a commendation?!
one of the best eps.
>hank asks the accidentally kidnapped girl if the Senor Montoya show is accurate

OP here, I hated KOTH as a kid when I tried to watch it. I think I was bitter that Beavis and Butthead was done, and I didn't really understand KOTH.
But now I'm absolutely loving it

It's generally a pleb filter, unlike The Simpsons you need to pay attention for a bit and understand the characters to truly appreciate the comedy.

Simpsons was better for the Zeitgeist of the time where both aired but KOTH aged like wine because large parts of rural America stayed the same, and none of the characters suffered from flanderization as heavily as the Simpsons did

King of the hill will always be the better show compared to the simpsons, but really only because the simpsons went on past season 10.

daily reminder that William Fontaine de La Tour Dauterive is Bobby's father

>daily reminder that William Fontaine de La Tour Dauterive is Bobby's father
reminder that this is cope by all the bills in the world

mike judge is such a chill dude.

honestly think the perfect world would be 6 billion mike judges. he perfectly straddles being self respecting and indepedantly minded without making a big deal about it or not being able to empathise.

he's never said anything lame or embarrassing or fallen into any of the usual celebrity bollocks, always just seems like an absolute bro.

stupid fan theory, Cotton and G.H both look like Bobby

It's much better. The Sneedsons is overrated as fuck.

ultimate pleb filter.

zoomers hate it.

It would make more sense that Cotton raped Peggy and gave birth to Bobby, hence why Cotton loves Bobby so much, looks like him and has such hostility between Peggy. Not to mention Hank makes reference to how much his narrow urethra made impregnating Peggy difficult.

more likely than bill EVER gettin peggys gash

>How long have you been sitting there?

resplendent

forty yeeuhs

Whatever makes you sleep at night, user

Do you hate Peggy yet?

hank's narrow urethra being a surprise to him makes sense when you consider that he thought bobby was his, but he actually got cucked by bill/his dad/john redcorn.

did he mean that as in his age or sitting there as in being a gay?
pretty good writing desu

A little bit, actually. Just watched the one where she refused to tell Dale about his wife's affair. But she's still OK

you do realize that Bill was once a chad right?
it was only after his marriage that he became a loser oh yeah and after the Army doing tests on him.
there was that one episode where he fights off a bunch of guys to protect Hank when Hank was Drunk.

>after the Army doing tests on him

god tier episode

That would be that Hank is Bobby's father. But if you want to talk about retarded fan theories that one makes a lot more sense than Bill being Bobby's dad. Bill would legitimately never leave Bobby alone if he even suspected that Bobby might be his son. He takes the opportunity to offer advice and support to Bobby here and there but it's simply because he longs for a family of his own which he'll never have.

>and this bird you cannot chaaaannnnnnge

Operation INFINITE WALRUS

Daily reminder that Dale is a cuck
if he was smart enough to lean Russian Im sure he was smart enough to know what was going on.
but maybe he knew but didnt care because he didnt love Nancy and she paid for everything and allowed him to stay at home and only work when he wanted.

the episode where the female exterminator has a crush on Dale proves you wrong

wiiiiiiiing go

I air-drum like a maniac at the opening sequence every time. Fucking based

That episode was so satisfying, really kept Nancy trapped in her own head and riddled with doubt and shame etc. rather than just getting petty revenge that would have justified her behavior to her.

Fuck that stupid cunt, she's so much worse than peggy.

so he was just a cuck then? got it

>she's so much worse than peggy.
Impossible. Peggy has her head so far up her own ass.

well yeah, it's one of the major plot points of the show.

Dale loves Nancy and Joseph, simple as. He knows Joseph is not his, but loves him anyways and doesn't want to reveal the truth to him because he knows it would just fuck Joseph up in the head. He knows about Nancy and Redcorn but lets it slide, because at the end of the day Nancy does treat him and Joseph well, and he loves Nancy and just wants to be with her. Yes he is a cuck, but he lets it slide to keep his family together.

>Good Lord I think theres some kind of dead animal in there.

Joseph already knows he's John Redcorn's kid though.

I don't recall that, unless that happens in one of the later seasons. I just remember Joseph being weirded out by John Redcorn, and even buying into Dales suggestion that Nancy was impregnated by aliens, so Joseph is technically an alien.

>Name's Rad Thibadeaux-x-x. Nice to meet yoooooouuuuu
>...Isn't that pronounced Thibadeaux?

KotH is the greatest TV show of all time
if you disagree, you don't know SHIT about Television & Film

>I don't recall that, unless that happens in one of the later seasons.
Nancy tells him the truth. Or at least it's implied that she did. Joseph tells Redcorn he understands that they're related. Plus Redcorn is planning to bequeath his land to Joseph and in his will he'd probably refer to Joseph as his son.

I should really go back and watch the later seasons, when it was airing I kind of gave up when Lucky became a main character, I've never seen those episodes in proper order.

Any user who wants to share his hulu account with me? Third worlder here

Lucky's irritating at times but not that bad a character. You should definitely go back and re-watch. There's plenty of gems there.

Pls

just watch it on arconai

It's "monseƱor Martinez

it definitely aged better than the Simpsons.

Mike Judge is .

The best Simpsons episodes haven't aged at all. King of the Hill just didn't turn to absolute shit after its prime like the Simpsons did.

Bill was the most well writen cartoon I've ever seen. Not a tryhard like horse show

showed it to my zoomer gf a few months ago, she loves hank hill

Dilettantes and dandys tend to be very extra.

>I need to find a windowsill because this flower is wilting

>Bill was the most well written
that would be unironically Luanne
goes from living at home with unka Hank to, her bf dying, to beauty school, to joining a cult, to owning her own house, to being a Communist, to getting married, to having a kid.(not in order BTW)
I felt like she grew the most, and bobby too. how he went from some chubby kid to being a meat expert and finding his thing and making Hank proud, after not being good at sports or comedy.

>He was a beautiful man. I knew him, briefly.
what did he mean by this?

Classic Simpsons was funnier but King of the Hill was better

Ah hey ma ma, ma-me doo-de din-day-ya
Hey ma ma ma hey-yah
Ah hey ma ma ma ma
Ah hey ma ma, ma-me doo-de din-day-ya

LIFE IN A NORTHERN TOWN

Classic Simpson had the gratitude of a staff of Harvard Lampoons. KotH was just Mike out there.

God I wish he was in more than two episodes
