Jumanji: The Next Level is garbage

I don't know why the first one was so popular. It lacked a real villain and any sense of urgency.
And I just don't give a shit about zoomers having to save themselves just so they can get back to their snapstreaks and selfie sticks.

The 'video game' movies have no sense of urgency because NOBODY gets killed. This is true of the first one as well of course, but you don't know that because the Robin Williams kid character disappeared, so you start off thinking he just got killed by whatever was in the game. It gives the game a sense of urgency and danger to it.
The video game movies, nobody ever dies - oh yay they get to one bar on their fucking arm and it's nothing. Hell they're killing each other for laughs practically. There's no sense of danger or anything to them.

The Rock trying to do DeVitos voice was just painful. I don’t remember them trying to do that shit in the first one, totally ruined the whole movie in just the first few minutes

The rock's bad new york accent and character actions didnt really match Devito.

I actually thought the last one was litty and was super let down by this sequel. What were they thinking with Danny devito and Donald Glover lol and not to mention they removed all sense of danger or urgency, chose a retarded setting and ultimately made it not feel like a jumanji movie in any way, more like a journey to the center of the earth adventure shit

I thought the first one was good. Nothing like the original, but they did a great job of rebooting the series and making it unique rather than just a cash-in scene for scene thing.
