Guts is literally based off of Dolph Lungren, and the idea of Casca is based off of Grace Jones. Obviously he made Grace Jones a cute Indian woman instead of a tall manish black woman.
Berserk was best when it was a pastiche of 80's western fantasy and medieval films.
This also makes it impossible to cast guts as you'd need a man with a strong jaw and a fantastic build but also who can act. Dolph was the perfect Guts physically but he couldn't act worth shit. Still love the guy.

Halfthor Bjornson would be an awful Guts. He is like 7'4 and Guts is only like 6 feet tall. Tall but not a giant. Bjornson would bbe a great enemy for Guts to fight though. Guts fights several giant men through the series.
