Remember that 2-3 year period (2010-2012?) when this show was absolutely everywhere? Where it seemed like there was a new conference, reference in some major US show, cool new merchandise every week? When there were a half a dozen spoiler hounds, a dozen set reporters, and about 50 fan podcasts rather than the token one who was only still doing it out of obligation? It amazes me how some people can honestly try to spin with a straight face that the show is still as popular as it always was.

There also was 2 different spin off at the time. I feel the show started to lose a bit of steam when Torchwood and SJA were canceled. And then arround 12/13 we started to have long breaks between series. 2013 was the anniversary year so it was sorta fine, but overall we barely got much new content compared to earlier years

He made the doctor an unthreatening children's TV presenter, not fit for the role.
The companions were made into useless shells that are still not any more likeable after 2 seasons. One of them, Yaz, will appear in the background for just a second, if ever you see someone in the background of a scene, that's her. That's always her.
As for the lore. It was completely retconned. The doctor is now an important god and Hartnall is no longer the original.
Chibnall wanted to ruin the show, so his decisions made sure that he did.
