So you have to think about your breathing as well? You need a calculator to breath?
Bruh, you're projecting. Your shit is way more complicated. For you, weight loss involves a calculator and a food diary. I just avoid sugars and carbs. How hard is that?
The body is not this stupid. The body knows what to do when fed properly. Your system has been shown to fail again and again. We would not have this obesity epidemic if that worked for most people.
Age has everything to do with it. I guarantee that guy is in his 20s.

that's a very detailed answer, thanks a lot man

I'm 40 right now. My weight loss issues started at 36. I'm just sharing what I've learned.
>Every (working) diet boils down to eating less to get smaller and eating more to get bigger.
This is false and simple-minded. You're thinking about this all wrong. You've forced me to further explain this shit but I'll try to be brief.
You have two hormones: leptin and ghrelin. ghrelin tells you when you're hungry, leptin tells you to stop eating. When you eat properly (ketogenically), you don't have a tendency to overeat IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! The problem is these hormones are insulin resistant. So when you eat the wrong things (carbs) you won't be SATED from the foods you eat and you won't get the natural signal to stop eating. The body isn't stupid. There's already a system in place to keep you trim as part of homeostasis.
And thanks to the FDA fucking up the food pyramid (less fat? more bread? as much sugar as you want?) we have sugar in EVERYTHING. And people just eat and eat and eat because fat was demonized in the 70s. There's no fat in the food to get you to stop eating.
You know what happens when you take the fat out of something? It loses its taste. So what replaced the fat? SUGAR!
Bruh, this shit goes deep.

You can keep posting walls of text. You don't even see to disagree with me. The fact remains that more mass=more mass and less mass=less mass.

>i don't take into account avoiding simple sugars or large amounts of carbs Of course, I take into account eating balanced. There is no such thing as a ”diet”, there is only nutrition. I'm simply stating a CICO ”diet” will without fail, if you stick to it, make a person loses weight. Will they undoubtedly balloon back up eventually if they don't reprogram their body? Absolutely. However, at the end of the day CICO does work, however temporary it might be.

If I can help at least ONE user, then I'm happy.
Wow, you've said nothing. Try reading the wall of text or following some of those links.
Oh, one thing. I'm not telling anyone they can't have rice or an ice cream for the rest of their life. Live your life! But if your goal right now is to lose weight, this is what you do.

Doesn't it get better after a while though? Or is that only if you're young
