The director worked for Robbie. Yan was Robbie's glorified secretary. It's common for studios to pick a director without experience on big budget flicks for having full control. Okay fags. It was substantially better than Suicide Squad and I'm capable of tempering my expectations. It was a fun movie with terrible humor. And the girl power stuff was absolutely subtle when compared to shit like Charlie's Angels.
The girl power stuff in the movie was jokes like "need a hairband?" And "wow she switched shoes quickly" instead of "FUCK MEN WE ARE POWERFUL BECAUSE WE ARE WOMEN".
The funhouse fight scene was pretty incoherent but it was still better than the webms led me to believe.
