Kong and Godzilla fight him, possibly with the help of baby Mothra. All of this takes up 25 minutes of screen time while the rest of the film is Millie Bobby Browned has some stupid shit to do

They established that Kong's "just a baby" or whatever in his movie, so they'll use that as an excuse to size him the fuck up. Plus, it's been long-established that kaiju-punches get through Godzilla's damage reduction. He can tank cruise missiles like nobody's business but if another giant monster socks him in the face it hurts. That's just how it goes in kaiju movies.

What are you talking about? There was three brief fights between godzilla and ghidora, the rest of the film was talking, quips and a family ducking drama.
There was hardly any monster fights at all, one of the most boring films I have seen in years.

There's several nearly-uninterrupted 2+ minutes of Godzilla vs Ghidorah in the final battle and the camera doesn't cut away nearly as much from the majority of the fights.

Unless you're literally colorblind it was fine. There's a difference between 2014 which was just grey on top of black, and KotM which used actual coloration for any monster scenes, like red with Rodan, blue for Godzilla, etc. Could have been better yeah, but it was fine.
