When he made the list for and against killing him, he described it as "murder". Killing someone you expect to kill you and even your family if he gets the chance is not murder, it's self-defense. The law possibly saying otherwise has nothing to do with it.

Mr Robot was probably the first basic cable show to feature uncensored profanity on a regular basis. I was also surprised that a USA Network show was that good, I only remember that channel for WWE and Law and Order reruns.

Chuck's presence was felt throughout season 4 though, even if he wasn't actually there. Most of the Jimmy plot revolves around him suppressing his guilt, and that reflects back on how he interacts with Kim and begins to really embrace his Saul persona.

The reason why Kim is so horrified by the way Jimmy seemingly reads his brothers letter so nonchalantly is because of how fuck up it is that he is not properly grieving. That's why the next episode she suggests that he goes and talks to a shrink.
