he's VERY fast

Twilight has no cultural staying power, the movies were so dull everyone kind of just forgot about them.

Apart from legitimately being a good actor, I think that the fact that he never really seemed pretentious and always was a good sport about the fact that the Twilight films are shit helped.

think it's more pretentious to make a fortune when you're that young and then act like you're so much better than the flicks you made it from

Yes, Twilight wasn't like Harry Potter in that when it ended people didn't care anymore.

you think that everybody has forgot Twilight ?

"no cultural staying power'' ? are you kidding ? Twilight is one of the five most famous franchises of all time just behind star wars, HP, the mcu and lord of the rings

The sexy vampire phase last decade was really bizarre, he looked way better in Harry Potter 4

Not really.

That's why: youtube.com/watch?v=nFA6Ycch1EM

Based.

what are the ten most famous movie franchises then ? for me Twilight is in it ! and for you ?

It's not.

then what are the ten or the five ?

Star Wars
Star Trek
Harry Potter
Marvel
Batman
Superman
Indiana Jones
LOTR/Tolkien
James Bond
The Matrix
Godzilla

All these franchises have more cultural staying power than Twilight, son. That has a niche audience that is rapidly growing older, and younger audiences don't care about Twilight as a franchise

Are you ESL? Not him but fuck off

21.

matrix ? really ? no way ! nobody talk about matrix anymore !
and why you count batman as a franchise and not Simply DC ?

for me :

trek
wars
mcu
HP
DC
LOTR
Bond
Twilight
godzilla
terminator

It's like you people don't understand how showbizz works. Why am I asking, you're on Yas Forums, for fucks sake.
How did Gaga escape her first persona and get lauded for her voice as much as to win a fucking oscar? Really smart people exploit the domain for easy money then go on to do the things they love.

Do you fucking remember Ke$ha? She has genius level IQ, and she exploited the bimbo market successfully. Only very smart people know how to look stupid. Conan is one example of that.

You really talk like this?

Batman and Superman are separate because they've always been separate entities and have years of separate movies and history. Marvel is different, unless you also want to separate Spider-Man from Marvel, or the X-Men.

Fucking ESL retard. Crawl back into your burrow.

I dunno I think Indiana Jones, Terminator, Star Trek, Batman, Spider-man, Hunger Games, etc are above it

talk like what ?

Twilight is part of the five biggest movie franchises of all time dude

It does for chicks. It might as well be their Rambo level franchise. I think Bella was one of the most popular girl and dog names for twilight's entire run.
Twilight for females is up there with Titanic and The Notebook.
It's just rare to see a mostly female core audience have a top franchise film series.
It's cultural impact is a bit more limited but it's still up there.

The only thing people remember about Twilight were some of the memes, that's literally all. No one remembers the books/movies themselves.

Yeah, 11 fucking years ago.

May as well just say Dracula/Vampires if you want to actually be correct.

Stop putting spaces before your punctuation.

everybody love Twilight now ! this franchise has more fans than bond, batman or matrix dude !

The internet and memes, same way everyone cared about John Wick - the film itself is mediocre, but since the protagonist aligns with the sad story of Keanu Reeves its now a masterpiece and a franchise

(You)

trek
wars
batman
superman
Indiana jones
lotr
hp
elm street
bond
godzilla
mission impossible
furious

no Twilight that's for retards !

>everybody love Twilight now !

By what metric?

have you seen the box office of each movie ? 700 millions dollars dude ! no Indiana Fucking jones have made that money !

>nobody talk about matrix anymore
That has very little to do with the idea of cultural impact. Rambo and Jaws have massive cultural impact as icon level films now, even if the younger generation may never have seen them.

and what about pirates of the Caribbean, elm street, planet of the apes, f13 and furious ?

do you think Twilight is more popular and famous than elm street, pirates of the Caribbean, planet of the apes and f13 ?

twlight is bigger than rambo and jaws dude ! peoples crying at the Twilight premiere ! nobody cries for rambo or jaws !

So by box office revenue? Hang on, let me Google it.
So according to Wiki, Twilight is 18th on the list of worldwide highest grossing film franchises: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_films#Highest-grossing_franchises_and_film_series
So it's not as high as you think it is.
But I should also mention that the performance at the box office is not synonymous with cultural impact. Whether a franchise does well at the time and whether they continue to stay relevant in culture are two different things.
I don't know how you would measure that though, but by my estimates, Twilight is not a franchise that has aged well and will be considered a "cult classic" in 50 years.

have you ever seen rambo fans made that kind of face ? NO ! so Twilight is above that rambo thing !

And now people refer to Twilight as a very embarrassing point on the late 00's/early 10's.

Same with the Shades of Grey shit.

By picking roles in actual good movies, Lost City of Z, Good Time and The Lighthouse were really good. Zoomers won't get it but back in those Twilight days the guy really got a lot of shit from all sides.

That was a decade ago. Those people are all adults who don't matter as much to people who make movies. Young girls now don't like Twilight. It's over, and it's never going to be that popular again.

and what about pirates of the Caribbean, elm street, planet of the apes, f13 and furious ?

do you think Twilight is more popular and famous than elm street, pirates of the Caribbean, planet of the apes and f13 ?

Yeah, I don't think Rambo was intended to make people cry.

sources ? because everybody i know loves Twilight !

youg girls now love what then ?

I guess breaking a toe or dicing onions is even above Twilight then.

How old are you and are you woman

im' a dude and i'm 36 years old dude !

It's not 2009 anymore

Attached: twilight.png (451x58, 3.69K)

Young girls love what then ?

Well you being 36 explains a lot. I don't know what teenage girls are into right now but it hasn't been Twilight for a long fucking time

Is that you mac?

Probably Adam Driver or the kids from the Stranger Things/IT movies, as they'd be around the same age.

Kpop lmao

do you think Twilight is more popular and famous than elm street, pirates of the Caribbean, planet of the apes and f13 ?
No, I do not think that.
I think Pirates will be remembered for the great movies it has made, particular the first three, and for capturing the essence of pirates settings.
I think Fast and Furious will be remembered in culture as fun, action-packed turn your brain off schlock. It is essentially western shounen anime.
I think PotA will always be remembered as both the cult classic in the original (Damn you all to hell), and the great more recent trilogy.
Whereas for Twilight, I think it will only be remembered as a mediocre film series that ruined vampires and made them uncool. Twilight's success was based on a very specific demographic (young adult females), who once they grow and get over it (as they have), Twilight will shrink away.
Twilight did not appeal to most other people, whereas all those other franchises worked for most audiences.

>last decade

There are still like a dozen popular vampire shows on television.

adam driver ? are you kidding me ? this guy is ugly ! they can't like a handsome guy like Pattinson and then a ugly man like driver !

and elm street and f13 ?

Elm Street is part of the slasher era, Fast and Furious is capeshit now.

For Elm Street, the character of Freddy Kruger is one of the most well known characters in all of cinema, regardless of anything else. More people would pick him out that anything to do with Twilight, given a random sampling of people

does the elm street movies are more popular than Twilight ?

Hey, I don't decide on what teenage girls like.

do you think it's normal to love adam driver ?

It has better cultural popularity, sure.

I don't think it'll ever get a new movie that's decent ever again.

Dude, you're 36, Twilight was 10 fucking years ago.

It is time to accept that the passage of time has occurred and you have not progressed mentally from it. You are officially out of fucking touch.

>like a handsome guy like Pattinson
Not everyone finds him handsome user

Is Elm Street Freddy Kruger? I haven't watched a single slasher film and I can name him, that's how much of a cultural impact it is.
I agree that slasher films also only appeal to a certain demographic, but at the same time, slasher films are parodied much more, so they could have more of a cultural impact.
I don't know what F13 is sorry, you'll have to spell it out for me.

He is a good loonking guy

Yeah, Elm is Freddy.

A certain demographic ? Why ? Slasher movies are for everyone !
