Absolutely, Picard is the best Star Trek show since Discovery.

No. DESU SENPAI

Wait until the season is over and a fan has edited it fown to the runtime of a TNG two-parter.
Thats all the story is worth.

I don't know why everyone involved with star trek refuses to hire actual futurologists and sci-fi writers to write the series instead of fat sjws and basedboys.

I'm in the same boat.
RLM is making it look gigabad, which the first episode had already set it up to be, so I think I'll just sit back and enjoy the memes

It is also the best Star Trek show since Picard.

The money that funds this shit think everything has to be SJW to sell.
It's not that hollywood has those ideals or whatever themselves, it's just "market research" has told them SJWism sells and if you fail to appease the SJW monster you'll be #metoo'd

as soon as i found the retarded lore from the movies was being used i gave up on it, fuck you lying idiots telling me that the nu trek would have its own timeline and not infect the shows.

Riker episode was just horrible

I have a question:
How come he has old-timers disease? Didn't they cure it?

Only if you hate yourself

Seven of Nine and Riker and Troi's daughter have been the only worthwhile parts of the season so far.

Since I have literally no life I watched all the writer and actor commentaries and the writers are completely fucking retarded. Like I'm surprised they can write and breathe at the same time. And the worst part is they think they've made this incredible epic that surpasses all past Treks.

Picard is an abortion so it's for he best that it exists outside of the canon timeline.

Riker and Troi episode is the only one worthwhile to watch and most like TNG. That is a very low bar of what Trek is supposed to be though. Plus it was a reshoot episode.

Uhh, Picard and Discovery are canon, bro, don't know what you're thinking.

No, they take place in JJ Abrams' Prime timeline.
They're both nu trek.

why though? because the federation is not communist?

>Picard and Discovery are canon
Those two shows were never canon. Star Trek ended with Enterprise and the TNG era.

Doesnt matter what is canon or not you fucking tards, Trek is dead.

Nope. Romulus never blew up in the real timeline. We already know this for a fact.

Because all alien races are different too.
Like Vulcans being emotional and impulsive and Klingons being space orcs.
Technology is also different, anesthetics and culture diverge too much.
Plus the Supernova that ruins Romulus, this happens only in JJ Trek in the prime timeline.
That's a dead giveaway.

still waiting for a babylon5 reboot

I'm a fan of TNG, TOS and even Discovery to a point but Picard is a steaming pile of shit. He's just an old cuck who lets everyone talk shit to him.

>it's been a long road
>getting from there to here

Attached: FAITH.jpg (640x365, 27.48K)

Picard is the Prime timeline not the original. Get Worf to cameo and then we'll talk.

If they had to involve Data they should have got Michael Rosenbaum to be a recreation of Data by the Romulans. He is the only person who could pull off Spiner's personality.

The writing is horrid, and the dialogue is shit-tier. It's not a good show.

If you liked it, sure.

Can somebody tell me why everyone hates this? I thought it was going to be some kind of sjw shitfest but it's not that. Is it because it's more of a drama than a sci-fi?

Depends, did it get you engaged?

If you managed to watch the whole episode sure, I shut that shit off half way.

They keep hiring women due to diversity is why, they know nothing about star trek or even sci-fi at all.

Meritocracy is dead, even marvel is diving into shit mountain with the next gen movies.

Yes. Some people will complain that it's not ToS, it's not TNG, it's not Voyager, not Deep Space Nine, not Enterprise, etc.

All of these people fail to see the forest for the trees. Because none of those shows were like the other shows. Just because it's different and shows us the soft white underbelly of the Federation doesn't mean that it is bad.

No it's the shit writing that makes it bad

YES!

>It's not that hollywood has those ideals or whatever themselves
That's some amazing delusion. You don't think jews want to promote their ideology?

>the amount of estrogen in those sources
yikes

I sucked my first cock. Should I keep going?

its space dementia

Remember when an alternative time line was just a bit of fun and now I don't even know what time line i'm watching.

Being this much in denial. It's propaganda, user, they do this very knowingly and with intent

Attached: 6444834069413888.jpg (486x341, 42.05K)

It's because its shit user and Picard acts nothing like he did in TNG which is very off putting.

It's sad to even watch scenes from this show because every time I do it looks like Picard is simultaneously putting in better acting chops than the rest of the cast, yet he still seems like a clueless, slightly senile old man who doesn't fully know where he is.

Except all the series you mentioned are actually Science Fiction series while Picard is a slice of life anime set in a fantasy future universe were the federation is le ebil grimdark institution.
Tal Shiar als always was a meme secret service cucked by federation and not the other way around

I like how you cant even make out what is displayed on the stupid screens

Why did the Federation refuse to help the Romulans after there ships got attacked by Synths? Why didn't the Romulans evacuate themselves? Why does everyone hate Picard including Romulans he helped? Why wont Picard ask for help from friends he made in his long successful career as the captain of the flagship of the Federation?

Attached: 1580335880009.png (404x430, 214.37K)

absolutely not. just watch old trek if you crave trek.

as a big fan of the TNG, this show sucks balls. i gave it an honest try and watched 2 eps, and i could barely stomach it. i get a lot more enjoyment watching Mike and Rich try to summarize it. there latest review episode was great: Rich had fully given up, and poor Mike looked so sad as he struggled to make sense of the show.

This is the new batch of sci fi storytelling, get used to ti, or watch something better, like Altered Carbon.

You have never watched Star Trek before

What?

This is a different universe, not your grandpa's star trek. Get on with the times.

Yeah it's pretty good, it's like a poor man's sci-fi version of Lost. Trekfags won't like it though because it's very bitter sweet, and shows all their childhood heroes being old, frail, fat, and showing signs of weakness.

imagine watching TV in 2020

imagine posting on the anonymous reddit board in 2020

How so?

No, the writing is so pozzed it's ridiculous and it'll probably end up being cancelled after one season the same as watchmen lol.

>#refugeswelcome
But the nuFederation is the exact opposite.

was not expecting opinion like that, Picard is watchable but Discovery literally hard to watch

>watch something better, like Altered Carbon.
user...

>pozzed
Nothing "pozzed" about it you reactionary, unless you consider "Romulans be good boys they dindu nuffin'" to be pozzed.

This. Its watchable nothing spectacular. Just your typical contemporary revamped show made to appeal to a mainstream audience. Like witcher in the way that it is fantasy-lite with muh feels and muh womens. People complaining about it being sjw, female empowerment propaganda are just as bad as the soys who praise shows for being inclusive and heavily left wing.
