I agree but it would be foolish to say he's not an all time great just by sheer popularity and influence. No one nowadays talks about Don Rickles but they helped pave the way for the following generations of comedians. Also Dice is one of the funniest people on the planet offstage

I really appreciate the Stephen Wright and Mitch Hedberg style, and its the hardest to imitate because nobody can write that stuff unless they're very clever. There's a lot of top level comedians that are observational, there's fewer that pull off great one-liners

I'm familiar with everyone on that list save maybe two, and that's my rating. Norm is my favorite of all of them but not so much for his standup. Patrice was based as fuck but more because of his appearances on O&A and his own show. As far as the actual craft of standup comedy, I think most comics would agree Chappelle is the most naturally gifted. No one denies that Louie is a brilliant standup. Stanhope is criminally underrated but seems like the logical third choice to me. Why Joey Diaz is even on that chart at all is a fucking mystery to me, dude is aggressively unfunny.
