I didn't even like the first season.
It's just another excuse for Garth Ennis to cry about the church, and by extension, morality.

I did like it.
I didn't mind gaylucard, but his arc was pointless.
He just moped in his castle, trained some weebs, got raped by them and then killed them, he was just back to square one.

I don't like anime. Also I didn't watch it. I watched the first season because a friend shilled it and by the end of it I wasn't interested enough to start the second.

Have they elaborated at all on what made Julius Belmont any different? I don't remember any indicator he was any tougher than the other Belmonts in the GBA or DS games as far as fighting ability so much as he just actually finished the job somehow

I think he was just the most war-torn of them, and happened to be the belmont they had for the final battle with Dracula.

Trevor/Sypha arc was meh. They finally tried to gave Trevor a character development scene but it fell flat. Fight scene was breddy gud.
Alucard arc was bad. The only thing that can redeem it is if it kicks off a downward spiral until he's Dracula 2.0.
Hector arc was bad. He didn't develop at all. It was just a showcase for girl power and an excuse for a sex scene to try to be the animated GoT.
Isaac arc was decent. Repetitive, but he's still the only one getting shit done and developing as a character along the way.

Because shills kept fucking spamming it, which made me want to watch it (borrowed kikeflix account) even less.

Haven't watched season 3 but I did watch 1 and 2 when they came out. Honestly this show is a big hit and miss. I've loved Castlevania ever since I emulated SOTN on my shitty pc when I was 13, and this show just feels like an adaptation that has derision for Castlevania . It's like The Last Jedi, it is written by a hack moron who hasn't even played any of the games and it utterly shits on the source material. Shit like not having Grant Danasty or Death in it, mocking the church and religion when they were both important aspects of the games, not having any of the iconic music of the series, focusing the plot on shitty vampire politics, changing Alucard, Trevor and Sypha this much. It's fucking lame. I don't have a problem with Alucard being gay (I am gay myself) but I saw the pics on another thread and I didn't like how it was portrayed. Apparently the woman and his brother raped him or took advantage of him. Feels like the writers are deliberately mocking Alucard just like what TLJ did to Luke Skywalker. Fuck Netflix.

Series story-narrative talk. How does it happen, that as soon as the story increases it's scope, volume, character and pov count, corelate so heavily with a decreasing quality.
Seriously, the first season was great. Not in the artistic sense, but in the technical funs sense. The second season had a ton of near filler in my eyes. The fight with Dracula was great, but a little sour considering what it was sandwhiched in.

Then the third season, the gay stuff in context is not worth giving a shit about, giving the poetic way it ends with him staking them, it's almost pottery. But the broader question in mind, how does the more they veer from the tight source material, the more drag the story gets. It's awful, I mean it still retains technical mastery in aesthetic. The character designs, backgrounds and movement are well done.

But i couldn't sit through much of any Season 3. Feels so god damn vacuous. Not to mention circular. In my mind when I compare it to devilman crybaby. Of comparable length. That shit is a straight line, of steroid pumping, and thumping end to end. I don't mind slow shit. I find the propsect of watching stalker again fun. But jesus christ - who is responsible for the castlevenia fuck up?

It was okay, I liked Trevor/Sypha and Hector parts. Isaac and Alucard felt too slow and dragged on too much. Alucard plot could have been completely dropped and nothing would have changed.
