Why is knowing the names of pokemon less intelligent than knowing the names of Galapagos finches?
what are brainlets?
He sounds really bad. F
>Is there a comfier game show Yas Forums?
no. jeopardy is the best. the chase was good, too, but game show network stopped producing new episodes for america.
why do they have to say "what is" after each answer? doesnt it get annoying watching a whole show of this
>Is there a comfier game show Yas Forums?
honestly the structure of answering with a question just tickles my autism the wrong way, they aren't questions you'd ask or answers you'd give, i cannot get past it
I love Jeopardy! but there are a few drawbacks.
>answer in form of question is dumb
>the part where they tell "interesting facts" is pointless and stupid (especially when they run out of time in 2nd round)
>not broad enough scope in subject matter (all humanities, very little STEM)
Also, the GOAT tournament was kino as fuck, especially the last episode which was pretty dramatic and strategically played. Felt happy for based ken
I liked the new ones with alec baldwin
Based and Charles Nelson Riley pilled.
STEM questions would be really dull
I don't see why they would be any more dull than some of the shit they have now.
Ken Jennings got to say "Ok Boomer" to Alex. Also that tournament was pure Kino. The questions were noticeably harder than normal games, and they had a Kino orchestral version of the theme song. I felt bad for the one guy who didn't win a single game despite him winning the most money on the show. It was kind of embarrasing.
>Ken Jennings got to say "Ok Boomer" to Alex
What do you mean?
>I felt bad for the one guy who didn't win a single game despite him winning the most money on the show
I didn't.
Because they're given the answer and they have to supply the appropriate question to the answer they're given... as an answer.
Ok boomer
youtu.be
The gimmick of the show is that the "answers" are given, and contestants are posing the "questions" to those "answers."
based acknowledger of Charles Nelson Riley
to be fair he was only the highest money winner on technicality due to being on the most "special editions" of the show which guaranteed the winners $250k+ or more.
>hey jack jw, who is charles dickens?
>Hard times," indeed! A giant quake struck New Madrid, Mo., on Feb. 7, 1812, the day this author struck England.
do americans really talk like this?
Why don't they ever do celebrity jeopardy anymore? are modern celebs just too fucking dumb?
Who is user to question how Americans speak?
he's not even a boomer. born in 40
alex trebek does, apparently
>This famed producer drugged and anally penetrated a 13 year old girl before fleeing to France.
>Who is the man we cheer for at every award ceremony?
To be fair, Trebek is Canadian.
>one of James's weaknesses was his buzzer timing. While Ken and Brad both timed the buzzer based on Alex's voice, James had trained himself to time his buzzer against the lights. This strategy worked great against less experienced players, but up against Ken and Brad, it didn't work, and it took a while for James to adjust.
lol has there ever been a black person on jeopardy
Many
yes, but no niggers
real life will always forever btfo made up shit.. in the long run at least... i hope.
You all need to participate in non-fiction
Similarly, white-trash has never been on Jeopardy either.
based
Him, Brett and Richard Dawson. The dream team
fiction is a part of real life
Both my cousin and one of my former classmates have been on the show. That said I'm thinking of trying out for Wheel some day.
The Price is Right is still comfier. I don't imagine many of you are up before noon anymore, though.
>In early March of the year 2020, an enormous faggot voiced his brainlet opinion on Yas Forums's Yas Forums board.
What is this post ?
>Correct.
>implying there wasn't a whole category on pokemon I 100% destroyed recently
Wheel is fucking terrible, Way too much RNG. I just watched an episode last week or so where a girl literally spun Lose A Turn or Bankrupt for all but one or two of her turns through the whole fucking show and didn't even get to participate.
>real life will always forever btfo made up shit
I would say they're on equal grounding. Fiction is just as important as non-fiction. Why do you think literature is such a frequent topic on Jeopardy?
Yeah it's fucking cruel because the game is 50% luck. I'd probably ace the toss ups if anything.
Wheel is decent, but it has to have the RNG because intelligent people would always run the board otherwise. Also, is there anything more nerve-wracking than watching some faggot spin when they're up big and the solve is easy?
Alright, I laughed.
kek, I always root for them to go bankrupt if it's solvable and they decide to spin.
Or when someone lands on the tiny million sliver and guesses a wrong letter on a puzzle that you already solved two turns ago.
And they both lost
The former classmate was a 3 day champion. Cousin got last though.
How'd they get on. any tips?
*blocks your path*
You take a test and have to pass it and then you're randomly selected in a pool of other people for a span of 18 months.
I lost my virginity while watching jeopardy.
The girl was older and hot af and said for every question I get right she will take off more and more
It got down to the end of the show, she only had her zebra print thong on and said if I get the last question right I get to smash her hard
I never ever played a better game of jeopardy again
Then I think there's some stuff afterwards and then they'll be able to choose you based on what they see.
Yeah that’s the point of Jeopardy. If you want to win not only do you have to know who Claude Debussy and Edmund Spenser are but you have to know about Pokémon and shit
Yeah I've taken the online test but it's pretty hard. I'll have to cheat next time, would be pretty easy actually
I met Ken at a baseball game. Was surprised with how personable he is.
No you take a test and then if you pass it if you’re randomly selected from that pool you get and in person audition where you have to pass a written test to weed out people that cheated the online one and to weed out people that are total spergs. Then if you’re selected from that audition you’re put in a pool for 18 months.
Yeah you worded it better than I did and added what I missed out on. I was just saying what my cousin told me.
My last three scores for the online test were 37/50, 29/50, 41/50
The 41/50 one was recent so I’m hoping for an audition this time around
yeah i'm thinking you need AT LEAST 40. I need a good cheating partner. you in bitch?
Well no. I got that 41/50 fair and square. What’s the point of cheating when you’ll have to pass a test in person? If you want to cheat though you probably could google the answers on your phone if you’re quick enough. The test is up now if you wanna try. Good luck
I already took it under my real name so I don't think I can do it again.
Honestly it would be awesome to go in person even if I was destined to lose. And also I might get lucky and get good categories that I'm knowledgeable on. Some episodes I'm sure I could beat the contenstants on the show based on that alone, but that's maybe 1/10 episodes but still
Did you take this recent anytime test or the one that was like two months ago? They didn’t get enough people from the tests two months ago so they put up the anytime test so if you haven’t taken that test then you can try again.
