They just played those 13 episodes over and over. They did the same thing on the WB in the US.

It got cancelled a few episodes in on either WB or UPN, I can't remember. Then AS picked it up years later, and aired the entire thing.

Look at the air dates of the episodes. Between 8 and 9 there's a full year delay. It would have felt like a season break if you were only casually watching.

I remember far more than 12 episodes. It's like I couldn't escape that show, and it was during a very specific time in my life when I always had the TV on to catch when it's air and my only other options were infomercials.
