Yeah it's a trashy show. The characters are fucked up, but it does a better job than fast and furious when it comes to portraying a FAMILY.

The trailer park hates the boys until the really need them to save the park. The best endings are when problems have been solved and the entire community is thankful for the boys getting their hands dirty.

J-Roc was the soul of the show. The Netflix seasons become literally soulless once he left.

When discussing great acting perfomances in television, it is a crime that John Dunsworth is never brought up. Him as Jim Lahey might be the best performance I've ever seen in a tv show, seriously. And the fucker didn't even drink.

One of the things I like about the early seasons is that when they are eating chips, they blur out the logo but I still recognize the bag design of the chips they were eating, and it was "compliments" brand, which is a discount brand. People wouldn't notice if they didn't live in Canada, and these days no one would notice because they change the bag design years ago. It was a nice subtle touch though and always makes me smile when I rewatch it.

I kinda agree with that. It certainly has the best and most coherent plot imo and the final episode with the shootout and Ricky's heart attack is one of the best episodes of the series. Plus that season has Ray's trailer burning down and Lahey pretending to be off the liquor.It is definitely among the best.
