Alright. What the fuck was this all about? And don't gvive me thewth muh poem. Also why was that Matador scene necessary?
D. W. Sneed.
Life from the memories of a dying man. It's a collection of moments that left the biggest impact on him. You can try and build a story from that, but the point of the film is to ask why would a dying man remember these scenes.
Yesterday, saw Element of Crime. It was pretty good. Any thoughts on it? I liked the neo-noir style. Reminded me of Delicatessan.
I got that. The whole film is still confusing as fuck and largely doesn't come together for me.

Lancelot du Lac BDRip when

Is Before/After Sunrise/Midnight series any good?
It's alright, not Linklaters best
I saw forty Ozu films in Paris, in a row, and they were all in Japanese language, which I don't speak, subtitled in French, which I never wanna speak.
Serious films right amigo? In Mexico we ave one serious saga. Vroom vroom vroom
F&F
I know it's not arthouse but i love Predestination and barely anyone has seen it.
Which were your favorite?
any directors like Kieslowski
FUCK OFF VINCE
Did they really kill a cat for this scene?
It's alright, Linklaters best
Allegedly not
Is Fast and the Furious arthouse?
Could somebody please tell me what constitutes as an arthouse movie?
After that could somebody please give me some recommendations for some of the good ones?
No, it is New-Wave Familia Cinema
kek
Absolutely based. French language movies should be banned, the good ones dubbed in a neutral language like Russian or Portuguese.
I Was Born But is objectively the best Ozu.
Arthouse is a vague term and can mean a lot of things. I suggest you look up the movies in the Criterion Essential Arthouse collection and watch them.
You're welcome.

learn to think of yourself. dont rely on others to control your film taste.
Any recs with idiosyncratic and fun-to-watch characters? Where you are completely entranced by a particular character and can't look away, whose behaviour makes you smile? For me it's Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard. As I've mentioned in other threads I really love her, but it's specifically her performance and character in Sunset Boulevard that goes beyond everything else I've seen. I think this may be a common thing for me among my favourites so I'd love to hear some recommendations if you have them. Other films/characters I love are for example Giulietta Masina in La Strada and Nights of Cabiria, and (I know this one maybe doesn't have a place in these threads but it's a good example) Johnny Depp in Ed Wood.
I'm always looking for new favourites and I think I've finally found something I can put into words that may help me find more of what I enjoy. These films are all in my top favourites.
Few come close to Giulietta Masina, I can't even imagine La Strada or Cabiria without her. I think Chisuu Ryuu in Ozu films is always comfy.
The Criterion Essentials is a good place to begin. Has Seven Samurai, M, Richard III and others.
>trying to impress people with your addiction to japanese tentacle porn.
arthouse is not a real word. every movie is art, even if it sucks.
my guess is that people make this pretend distinction so they can justify watching "non arthouse" garbage as if the aim of these movies is any different
or they just use it as a fancy word for good movie (which is an acceptable definition I guess, if you have to use this meme term)
was wrong post woops.
is there a name for this "illusion"?
Tonight should I watch the colour of pomegranates tonight, A Separation or Angel's Egg?
Spirit of the Beehive
Marketa Lazarova
Of those, Color of Pomegranates.
Pierre Etaix's movies.

franco seem to like to get associated with greatness.
Tubular Bells
is this link real or is it porn or something like that
films like this?
Reminder these threads have no contributions or discussions, just expositionary masturbation (prolly lots of fedora underages too).
Yeah but it's still fun and the best thread in the catalog.
what part of Kieslowski? Try the seventh continent, Angst, Fallen angels and Wings of desire
It's real, from some frog website
well it's stuck on metadata so i guess i'll wait
Try this
The 90s English language remake
you're a king. thank you
Oh really. Tell us more of your interesting insights. Did you learn that from sucking on your dad's chode or from cleaning his "lover's" teratoma?
Seen it. Dug it but thought the premise was a bit farfetched. Hawke is great in it, though.
Kino
Marcello Mastroianni for me. I like even the stupid crap (Pregnant Man) he was in.
Weirdly, I think she is terribly directed in Ozu films. But then again, I've genuinely Mnever understood why anyone rates Ozu compared to his contemporaries.
Shouldn't you be cleaning your brother-in-law's teratoma, fatass?
I can't tell whether Anne Wiazemsky is a good actress or I just want to fuck her.
the ultra dramatic ones, seen the first 2 guess I should see the next 2
probably
Angel's Egg is probably the best anime movie i've ever seen
Color of pomegranates is hugely overrated (in my opinion)
havent seen A Seperation
