Problem with Babish when it comes to cooking is he's a very basic level cook who has access to expensive equipment and competent filming skills. He's not really anything special as a COOK if that's why you're watching him. Someone like, for example, Bruno Albouze is actually good at what's supposed to be the channel's main draw, but his skill sadly puts him above what most home cooks can copy.

Chef John is like Bob Ross in that you’re following along because there’s a visible passion but not intimidated because he seems friendly and isn’t spo good that you aren’t afraid to try it yourself and the guy is interesting for his mannerisms.
