I often forget that Starfleet is the Earth federation fleet and not the Federation of Planet's private fleet. I think the writers also forget this because Vulcan ships barely ever show up to help the Federation.
And have y'all ever even SEEN an Andorian ship in TOS, TNG or DS9?
